    You make good points. I have reissued that press release (A cookie and and up vote for the first person to get the reference). To me, that rings similar to the 'never take a second opinion' but gets more to the point behind why you shouldn't. It's also more eloquent. Oh, also, a name for the rules - The Dozen Directives of Delightfully Divergent Doctors With the 'Delightfully Divergent Doctors' being a suggestion for the guild name, or some variation upon it. Other words: Disparate, Dapper, Diligent, Dignified, Dominant, Diplomatic, Divergent, Dramatic EDIT: Doctor Rab Frowned. "I have just been informed that we have been drawn into a war. In future, please notify the management before volunteering the guild's services for a war effort. A consensus should be first reached either democratically, or by the appointed leader of the guild."

    Thanks for the vote of confidence! This is actually a good point. However, if you have someone you trust (thought that's sorta hard right now, I guess), and could let them know, that could be useful. A question for all of you. I sorta posed this with my last post (though as roleplay), but there were 6 votes and 6 shots. Can we assume that the 6 shots are from the 6 voters? Because that would imply that one of those to vote is a Lawman. This is why I'd be curious to know who had the smoking gun - it would be interesting to know if the wielder of the smoking gun was among those who voted. I guess one thing with that was Is Axe? was a voter, but also was shot. So possibly that's just RP fluff rather than being a subtle hint. I guess the one last question would be, did the tineye (presuming we have a tineye, which I really hope we do) catch either of the two people to kill someone? If you could let someone (or some people know) this would be nice. Will PM's sent as part of the new cycle PM, or will they be sent as they come? Presuming the former but wish to be sure. Can you reply to a PM that has been sent anonymously? As in, if I received an anonymous message, could I send you a message to send to however that person is?

They weren't lawmen even. Can't find any badges on them. But I suspect at least one of you who shot is. Look here, my revolvers still full of bullets, so wasn't me. Didn't even vote. Now, it seems 6 people shot. Seems there were also 6 people who voted. Now three could be honest voters, and I know one of you was bought off. Would seem to me that two of you wanted someone else dead. Those who fired shots, want to own up to it? Also, I don't suppose any of you would be tineye's who happened to catch who shot Piffington or Is Axe??'

    This is true. I'd also not mind just having a vote down somewhere to earn an extra coin. Unless you reckon it's not worth the risk - probably not going to be on just prior to the end of cycle, so'd not be able to change things if last minute shenanigans happen. Otherwise, 1 vote on its lonesome won't make any difference. If you think I'm better off retracting my vote, then I will do so.     Dr Rab Heatherlock performed a headcount. Always worth keeping track of where peoples are. If you can see 'em, then they ain't backstabbing you. There were just over a dozen people of any significance in the hideout at the moment, but two of them were missing. "Hey, peoples, any of you seen Doctor Walin or Ralon since we found out 'bout them Lawmen?" (Don't believe I've seen any posts from spencer (Dr Walin) or Alvron (Ralon) yet.)

    We also have the Lynch vote, and the only way I see that failing is if no one at all votes. But that's never going to happen - Lawmen might as well just vote out who they don't like. I had forgotten about those, true. I'd be surprised if there were any more than 2 Koloss-bloods though, and an archivist can only use their ability on one person per turn, and each player can only have their death prevent by an Archivist once also. Oh, and that's something - Smoking Gun kill happens after Lawman kill, so if the Lawmen target the wielder of the smoking gun, then presumably the smoking gun won't go off that round. So maybe things are as bad as I thought they were.

    Player Count (Per Cycle) Cycle 1: 17 Cycle 2: 14 Cycle 3: 11 Cycle 4: 8 Cycle 5: 5 Cycle 6: 2 I think that basically gives us Cycles 2-4 to work things out. The most annoying thing is that 17% of the player set will be dead before we gain any information. Wyrmhero, what happens if the smoking gun targets person to get lynched? Because the Lynch target dies before the gun goes off, will it kill the holder, or no one? Also, how will voting results appear?

    'As we are yet to complete a banner under which to march, it would be challenging for us to send out envoys to other guilds. It would be confusing to others where we to introduce ourselves under a multitudinous array of names. As you know, Identity is Realmatically critical, and so our first goal must be to establish an Identity, and then display that one Identity as a group.     I guess the difference here is that anyone can pay to be a Rioter. It's dangerous in that it's votes that villagers scoundrels (sorry in advance if I keep using the wrong terminology) don't get to make, but also potentially useful for someone if they had information. For instance, if there is a scoundrel seeker, it gives them a way to influence the lynch vote without revealing themselves as target. There is probably some information to be gained from the way auction votes are used, I get the feeling that we're going to need everything we get, so there's that. I wouldn't want there to be more than 2-3 votes available to buy though, unless everyone's voting. Even 3 is enough to swing a vote.

    To be clear, is that you'll kill me by poisoned stethoscope if I shift my vote, or you'll give me a stethoscope to kill people with as a reward for not voting. 'Cos I'm hoping its the latter. If the former, well, I'm dead either way... Regardless, I'll rescind my poke vote on Lord Pifferdoo, and keep it to myself for the time being. Hope that lets you (re)move your vote from me, Emerald. At this stage, that sounds like a good idea to me, though it does still allow the Lawmen some influence over who the villagers target. Some discussion on plans for the smoking gun would be good. A query: What happens if the player with the smoking gun targets the person to be lynched. The Lynch happens before the gun goes off. Does it miss, kill someone random, or kill the owner? I agree with The Only Joe - probably best to not buy votes this round. Another question though - Is 'No Vote' a valid vote option, and if so, can a vote bought at auction be allocated to 'No Vote'? EDIT 1: Bah, I hate to keep agree with the same person already, but he keeps saying things that I've been thinking. Gonna have to post them first next time. Why are you so protective of Pifferdo? This is a question I would like answered Emerald.

    I think the rule which gives us money to vote, plus the fact we have no info yet, is more the reason for the random voting. Also, for the record, be careful about auctioning of your votes. I think it's a dangerous practice.

    @Emerald: awwww. Does that mean that if I switch my vote, you'll move yours? Now, Dr Rab Heatherlocke would also like to add to his previous comments that he is upset with the perpetrator of the murder of Warn for marring the good name of doctor by his actions as a lawman.

    Dr Rab Heatherlocke would like to point out that while he is a doctor (he has a badge, so it must be true), he neither carries a stethoscope, nor does he have a white coat. I mean, surely you all can see that, right? The fact I've been wearing this lovely canary yellow jacket the whole time? So, I guess at this point, we just want to get some discussion going, so I'm going to poke Lord Pifferdoo. EDIT: Wyrm, a question if I may. for the lynch votes, will we be getting a tally at the beginning of the next cycle? If so, how do Auctioned votes appear? As in, Mailliw has auctioned of his vote this round (and he can't retract that). Will his name appear in a list of voters should someone purchase his vote and use it on someone? Also, slightly concerned about how the mechanics seem to favour the Lawmen this game. Of course, I'm new, and could be misreading things

    Hmm, so rollover is 7am here. Could be worse. Also, 11/17, or basically 2 in 3 players identify as doctors. What would be amusing is if the lawmen end up being all the non-doctors.

    Were Rab to be a political adviser to whoever steps to the fore of this movement, he would also potentially make a comment to the effect that by making use of gifts from a foreign power, regardless of the intentions behind why they were bequeathed, the indication to others would be that of us aligning with said foreign power. He would additionally comment on how it could potentially influence members of this movement in a way that may bias them towards said foreign power before this movement has had the opportunity to formulate an identity for itself. Dr Heatherlocke would make these comments in a way in which no disrespect to her Ladyship, Queen Elsa Steelheart. Or maybe he'd just say, 'Thank you for your suggestions. We consider each and every suggestion carefully, and will publicly announce the chosen candidate at such a time as one has been chosen. Thank you for your continued interest.'
