  1. Ok guys is it safe to assume Dalaniar is a Bondsmith.....
  2. What do we have to do to get Brandon to add in an interlude chapter for each of the know KR's spren as a POV. it would be awesome to see the world thru Syl's eyes and the lazy cryptic. more over how exasperated must Lift's spren be.
  3. So we all know the Confrontation is coming. Szeth will try to take out Dalinar and Kaladin will have to stop him. I don't think Brandon would write the same chapter from multiple viewpoints as he is already doing it with the night of Gavalar's murder. Personally I would like to see this event from Szeth's POV. however the possible number of POV's to observe the event from is quite large "Dalinar, Adolin, Kaladin, Jasna, Shallan or Szeth." Who's POV would you like to see this from ?
  4. I would prefer dalinars book sooner. it would be interesting to see flashbacks of his visit to the nightwatcher. and learn what his boon was
  5. Adolins duel in his chapter reminds me how similar he is to his father. brought up memories of his dad smacking around the king. Kaladin seeing amaram and then the chapter ending had me shout in sheer anguish.... Mother****** sanderson and that cliffhanger.... if I had the book right this moment I would skip ahead the the next kaladin chapter.... as a matter of fact it will probably be the first thing I read when I do get the book on release date. I also think the missing chapters are going to tell us why shallin and jasna are a week behind schedule
  6. brandon said "I'm planning for you to find out what happened to Gaz. There are sufficient clues that you can guess. But it is not explicitly stated" so not necessarly dead... GAZ IS A HERALD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. My thought is that Urithiru is deeper in the shattered plains. if you don't mind spoilers i would say listen to the parshendi interlude or read the transcript from the words of radiance. only my guess
  8. the assumption that they disappear when the wielder dies is based on the fact that they were bound to the heralds who would go to what we would call hell for 5000 years and return with them for the Desolation's (The fact is) We don't KNOW what happens to them when a non-Herald dies while bound to them. the blade doesn't necessarily make the herald. (However it could be that the blades are similar to Lerasium, and rewrite spiritual DNA) The point is, "its not proven." you can assume all you want in ether direction however i just wanted to point out there isn't any evidence dictating that the effect would be similar with a normal person. it could be they only disappeared because of the Oathpact.
  9. Hey Guys i keep reading people stating with 100% certainty that HONORBLADES disappear when people bound to them die. Allow me to state a fact we all know to be true. 1. During the time of the (Oathpact) when a herald died and went to the equivalent of hell for 5000ish years. The honorblade bound to them would disappear.... It doesn't mean that if someone holding an Honorblade now a days were to die, that it would disappear... The fact is that too many things would be different. They were the heralds and the oathpact was in effect who is to say if a herald died holding a cheeseburger he wouldn't appear with it in his hand 5000+ years later. the you could say cheeseburgers disappear when heralds die....
  10. sell, doubt they would try to recruit her without having gotten their soul caster back. Dalinar will take on honors shard in the end of the series
  11. Wow. i didnt understand the concepts of shards until i checked out the coppermind wiki. just now. i didnt realize all the different worlds he made were connected like this. and thanks to everyone now i get to go back and try to re-read all the stories and pick up on connections. I never realized they were intertwined like this. i always thought hoid was just an easter egg character brandon put in the books for fun. i didnt know it was the same hoid with an actual basis for being everywhere and intricate to the stories. (so theoretically sazat "From mystborn" could show up in stormlight being as he is pretty damnation powerful now.... makes me wonder how hoid does his traveling)
  12. hello everyone. i just wanted to say i have been enjoying reading the posts on the forum all morning, and hope to have a long collaborative relationship with all of you.
  13. hey guys i am new here and have been reading quite a few therioes on the forum. i really wanted to know why in several posts people have stated Shallan has a shardblade. I never picked up on this from the book. i also have a few other questions. why do people name the almighty "Honor"? i thought honor and cultivation were seperate powers from the almighty. Dalinar made his plate glow for a moment when he jumped under the falling claw of the chasm fiend at the hunt. why do people think that the glow has been removed from the shards? i was under the impression when i picked up on that, that it must be intention of some sort. (The intention to protect or serve the codes) - however, i dont know why syl was happy when he put it aside. (just pointing out that plate has glowed since the radiants gave them up. even if it was only for a moment.) Any feedback would be appreciated.
