  1. You could probably store a percentage of your natural investiture granted by preservation.
  2. There's been two possibilities about getting thrpough peoples metalminds, one fro twinborns who can burn malatium and the aluminum to zero thing. In AoL though, the malatium one would be impossible. A twinborn would only have access to the aluminummind and malatium, so they couldn't steal a metalmind anyway, as the can only store and tap aluminumminds. And could only burn malatium. In the worl oof AoL the luminum to 0 theory to 0 is also unlikely as there are no feruchemists ali9ve. It is, however, more likey for a full feruchemists then for a full feruchemist-misting mixture.
  3. If that's true, then it wouldn't really woprk for feruchemists. If it works as storing the act of investiture in percentages, such as I said above, then it could work for feruchemists as well, by storing their ability to invest metals with properties.
  4. Could anyone take up the splinters of devotion from the pool?
  5. Storing your identity to zero wouldn't make the key to another's metalmind, rather it would make you like air ghosting through a keyhole to their metal mind. There wouldn't be enough identity left to read you as going through the door, letting you slip around the need for a key.
  6. I don't think you could burn lerasium to be a feruchemist unless you were already a mistborn. Lerasium makes you a mistborn and attunes you to preservation and hemalurgy makes you either and attunes you to ruin. So, following the parallels, there should be a nuetral way to get the balanced feruchemy
  7. ANd if sourced from Preservatiuon and ruin, there should be a way for non feruchemists to become feruchemist, to keep the parralles accurate. Unless only the extremes in older days could, as hemalurgy connected them to ruin and lerasium to preservation and neither wanted the other to gain more followers. Although now with harmony, who is both, mayhap he will make something similar to that for a balanced power.
  8. i agree with Kadrok. Feruchemy is far from simple, because it stores attributes that are hard to quantify, such as connection to others (duralumin) and invetitutre (nicrosil). With hard to quantify attributes being store we aren't sure as to what tricks feruchemists and twinborn will be able to pull off.
  9. I don't think you could fuel any metal with just th investiture from Feruchemical nicrosil, I think when you store investiture the invested powers of your metals or your ability to invest a feruchemical charge into your metalmind is reduced by the neutral end make up of feruchemy, but when you tap Feruchemical nicrosil, your ability to invest your metals or metalminds is boosted based on what you stored. Say a full feruchemist stored say 50% of his ability to invest metals with properties, his invstiture, and attempted to store half his weight in iron. for that amount of effort, while storing Feruchemical nicrosil, he would only be able to invest it with half his weight. But while tapping that stored inveestiture and attempting to store health he would be able to store twice as much for the the oringinal investiture. If he was storing 50% investiture in Feruchemical nicrosil. And once his Feruchemical nicrosil charge ran out his output of investiture would revery to the normal amount. Same with a twinBorn's metals. A Nicrosil-Steel twinborn would have less powerful pushes as he stored Feruchemical nicrosil, and and momre powerful as he tapped Feruchemical nicrosil. Because to burn a metal is to use investiture, which you could store.
  10. What if, when a feruchemist is storing Aluminum, he is storing his sense of self. When a feruchemist stores an attribute, he or she puts a sort of stamp of themselves on it, like keying a lock to their personalitiy. So if a Feruchemists stored aluminum and, say pewter, that pewtermind wouldn't have his identity stamp on it, allowing any feruchemist to tap it. And if he stored aluminum and attempted to tap another feruchemist's metalmind he would be able to "ghost" under their idnetity stamp. It would be keyed to, lets say, Feruchemist B's personality while you, the feruchemist storing aluminum, would have no identity for it to read, and would so get around the identity stamp, I think.
  11. No, not sure. Just guessing what the Feruchemical Parrallel of Burning lerasium to become a mistborn would be.
  12. I don't know if anyone's asked this yet, just let me know if anyone has. Sorry, just in case. Is the Blue Lake on Sel connected to the power of the Splintered Shards on that Planet? And if so, could it be used to reforge the splintered Shards? Since in Elantris, Raoden heard a voice in the lake, it seems like it still has some connection to one of the splintered shards atleast.
  13. Definetly. I love Sanderson, his back plot with the Shards are like no other author I've read, And goodkind speaks to me in the way I see the world of life and my choices in. And a mistborn Rahl would be just OP.
  14. If general feruchemical metalminds have a sense of being a part of their feruchemist, the Storing Aluminum to nearly notheing would make you a basically ghost through their recogntion defenses, I think. And I completely agree that to use their storages you'd have to actually be able to use that type of feruchemical power. I don't think you can even feel the energy in the metalmind unless you can actively use that type of feruchemy, Just like allomantic mistings can't feel other metal reserves.
  15. I read in one of these that it's a source of a shard's power, and since the shards on Sel are shattered, maybe it doesn't have as much power as, say, the WoA did. I feel like it's linked to the reformation of the shards on Sel though. Could anyone ask BS?
  16. If Feruchemical nicrosil stores investiture, and Investiture is the effectiveness you store your ability to invest your abilities with power, such as storing how effective your steel push would be, the when you'd tap it, it would increase the effectiveness of your steel puch. Kind of like in THe Final Empire, when Vin's pushes were stronger then they should've been, except possibly to a more dramatic extent. Basically, when Tapping stored Feruchemical nicrosil, a twinborn would be getting more out of their metals.
  17. I may just be way off.
  18. If a Twinborn could tap investiture and burn, say, steel, would that create a stronger steel push? And would a feruchemist who is tapping Investiture be able to store a more powerful charge, causing and end positive result?? I would assume the balance to that being when storing investiture, you can only store in an end negative way, making investiture dificult to store, because you would have to store it alone or decrease the other storage you put in.
  19. I am submerging my self with cosmereian theory that makes me excited to see a twinborn that can store Investiture.

  20. Sounds to me like, with Lerasium having an allomantic charge that rewrites their spiritual dna into a mistborn, then the feruchemical compound would have a pre existing feruchemical charge that, when the person goes to tap it, rewrites their sDNA to include feruchemy.
  21. Just wanted to say, awesome quote. I loved that scene in the trilogy. I also thought it was funny that in only one place in the series is it mentioned that breeze isn't half skaa.
  22. I live.
