  1. Have you considered the similarities of Windrunning and Iron?
  2. This isn't Zemo paradox, Steelrunner speed increase is not affected by the Speed Of Light cap. Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity clearly states that nothing can exceed the speed of light, but I feel the need to point out the fact that there is magic at work here.
  3. The theory behind Feruchemy is that you store now, enhance later. There is also no limit to the amount of "enhancing". Therefore ... could Steelrunners move faster than light, albeit for a fraction of a nanosecond?
  4. I'm kind of joking. Obviously this has no relevance whatsoever to the Cosmere and it would be cool if it it did. There is a coincidence still at work here. Also, Alcatraz is set on Alternate Earth. (If you are paranoid and think Alcatraz is real, the Maxim Suffolk Hospital for the Criminally Insane has a cozy cell for you. Seriously. Don't kill Liebrarians) Rithmantist: The "Line of Making" is definetly soft magic. I don"t have a quote, but there so much poetic stuff of "if the chalking sees itself as beautiful" and etc. Other components no, but the Line of Making, yes. Edit: There is nothing wrong with soft magic. The rarity of it in a Brandon book is what I'm driving at. Yeah, basically in a nutshell what I was saying.
  5. The ultimate Assassin team Combinations are key here: 1)(1p) Ascender - simple Lurcher, a bit on the heavy side. Carries the Sniper places 2) (3p) Sniper - Smoker / Windwhisper, carries a large bow. Very light. 3) (3p) KO - a Steelrunner / Thug, whose sole job is storing enough speed to kill hard enemies in fractions of seconds (i.e. Mistborn, Compounders, Steel Inquisitors) 4)(1p) MasterMind - Sparker / Soother. The Ascender and Sniper work in conjunction, allowed a silenced team to capable of Assassination from anywhere. The MasterMind plots the plan, as well as use his soothing to smooth any possible wrinkle. And the KO takes care of retribution.
  6. Kelsier hates Hoid? I suppose this is Kelsier 2.0 because the original Kelsier met Hoid looking for information. Hoid is a Siren? That doesn't surprise me the least bit. He has a magician's bag of magic tricks. I do have a theory that most magic systems function similarly (still working on it, no questions please), so perhaps Breeze's lessons alerted Vin.
  7. Definitely. Brandon's Laws of Magic might allow for flesh-contact metal to be overridden (never made sense in the first place) but every magic system needs an ace in the hole to fight it, and for Allomancy, its Aluminum.
  8. Why not? Read the entire Ender's game saga, including the "Shadows" series, and anxiously waiting the last book?
  9. Interesting Hemalurgy theory,. If an Allomancer burns an higher-atium concentration, I still think it makes someone else a Mistborn, not just a Seer. It does makes sense that Hemalurgy is Scandrial specific, the real question is: can you Hemalurgicly steal Hoid's powers?
  10. Fine. There's no way, however, I buy the fact that atium is a temporal metal. Ruin is (in our current knowledge) the worst at Foresight of all shards, and he has the only power that grants seeing into the future? Doesn't make sense at all!
  11. Rithmantist? The whole "Line of Making" thing? The wild Chalkings?
  12. Feruchemy seems much older than either Allomancy or Hemalurgy. I don't have any evidence, but that's how it seems. Malatium simulates someone else burning gold, so perhaps Atium/Lerasium simulates someone burning Lerasium?
  13. Acknowledged.
  14. Therefore what? This is not "Cosmere-related" this is "anti-Cosmer". Even still, this is a remarkable coincidence
  15. I am listing possible theories that have been discussed as to Steelheart's weakness: 1) Genetic/Metal: Only David's father / the bullet that was fired can harm him because of unique properties. 2) Harry Potter: David's father was protecting him from Steelheart/Deathpoint, which allowed the killing shot to work. 3) Intention: David's father wasn't intending to harm him, he was intending to harm Deathpoint 4) Inheritance(reference to the book series) : David's father was trying to help Steelheart , which allowed him to hurt Steelheart. 5) Radiation: Something in the bank (gold?) interfered with Steelheart's abilities 6) Mortal Wounds: Only a shot that will kill and intended to kill someone can hurt Steelheart before it hits the target Have fun explaining why each is wrong!
  16. Funny how Brandon seems to be coming out with multiple books set in alternate earths. Funny how the inherit magic systems seem to be both evil, and soft magic. Funny how he claims that both are non-cosmere. This seems like an awfully large COINCIDENCE and you know what they say about COINCIDENCES? "It takes an awful lot of work to make a coincidence" - Winston Churchill (probably) Perhaps this has some connection to this mysterious "Adolnasium Opposing Force"? Anybody think I'm on to something; or that this theory is the work of 999 monkeys in a room with a typewriter?
  17. You're missing the point here: A full Mistborn burning a Atium/Lerasium alloy. My theory is that such an alloy allows you to make other people full Mistborns.
  18. What happens if you alloy atium and lerasium? If a non-Mistborn burns it, it'll probably make you a Seer. If a Mistborn burns it...
  19. Unlikely, as Hoid wouldn't subsitute something in the bracer's place. This idea that the bracers weren't pure atium seems to fit with the theory that the Lord Ruler had multiple uses for the bracers aside from simple age storing.
  20. All shards are of Adolnasium. That being said, this opposing force cannot be difined by whatever pre-existing categories we have, (i.e. Cognitive, Physical, Spiritual). Adolnasium seems to cover every base, so this Unidentified Opposing Force (UOF) is anti-matter!
  21. The weakness is far more sinister than anything you are thinking. The weakness is as follows: Steelheart cannot be hurt on purpose. Anything which is intended to hurt him won"t work. However, if a lethal weapon attacks him without the user having the SLIGHTEST intention of hurting him, the attack works. This is not Harry Potter. Drop the whole "power of love" thoughtline. And OBVIOUSLY metal has nothing to with it ... Mistborn addicts!
  22. I always thought Hoid was a Lerasium Ferring, but this could work IF he was a full Feruchemist. Word of Brandon is that he uses Feruchemy, but not that he is a full feruchemist.
  23. I disagree. Roran slaughters Demoux, he can turn invisible, remember? Vin probably beats Arya, but Kelsier doesn"t stand a chance against Eragon Shadeslayer. Remember his sword (Brisingr!) can't be affected by magic, and Kelsier enjoys close range combat more than sniper attacks.
  24. An allomancer uses metal Aeromancers use air Air is everywhere. Metal is not. Aeromancer>Allomancer. I also come up with new names for every online identity I have, and I can almost remember half of them. Though come to think of it, Rahm_Rackham would be an awesome username. (Rahm Kota + Mazer Rackham)
  25. I believe the Lord Ruler's atium braces were Hemalurgics spikes, allowing the Lord Ruler to superburn (is that the term?) atium. This would also account for his claims to hear Ruin taunting him. Are there any more?
