  1. I had the same thoughts regarding the Ghostbloods. IotE Chapter 55, Page 410 They were my first thought when I read that. What I am also curious about is whether Autonomy and/or one of their avatar's ended up having success on Southern Scadrial and has set up shop with the Malwish Empire. The way Dajer is pressing so hard to prove himself before ministerial appointments seems like that kind of way Autonomy likes people to prove themselves at all costs (or fail in shame).
  2. Favorite twinborn combo: Steel(a) and tin(f) - I figure that it could only help a coinshot's accuracy and survivability whatever they're doing whether it's pushing a coin or steel jumping around town. I wonder if they could gain extra senses like being able to see types of bullets. Least favorite Sanderson book: That's a tough one. I like all that I have read, but I think The Rithmatist looking back is my least favorite. 3 favorite characters: Spook Adolin Marasi
  3. Brandon Sanderson. Brian McClellan. I really enjoyed the Powder Mage series and I just finished reading In the Shadow of Lightning. Joe Abercrombie. I enjoyed the first law world and the anti-hero characters of those books. My favorite books. 1. The Lies of Locke Lamora 2. The Name of the Wind 3. Oathbringer Genres: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror and other fiction
  4. Allomancy drew me in from the start when I first read Mistborn and I still think it's my favorite. My other favorite is Forgery. The research involved in the history of an object increasing the odds of the stamp being successful is very interesting to me. Especially for something that sounds so ominous like forgery. When I was reading the Emperor's Soul, I was thinking that the artist vs. forger debate had a bit of an Indiana Jones the archaeologist vs. some random grave robber analogy to it as well. I do like dragons.
  5. I have read almost all of the Cosmere. Some of them a few times through. I'm currently about halfway through Yumi and the Nightmare Painter which is the only one I haven't finished yet. Outside of the Cosmere, I have read other books like from the Cytoverse and the Rithmatist. I read a lot from the fantasy genre in general. Powder Mage, Gentleman Bastards, Wheel of Time, The First Law, Dresden Files, etc. I know I said my dad was the big Stephen King fan, but I do read some of that too. For example, the Bill Hodges/Mr. Mercedes books.
  6. Hey everyone, glad to join the community. I've been a reader/lurker for years and finally decided to join. Reading great stories has been an important part of my life since as far back as I can remember, one of my fondest childhood memories is my dad reading parts of Firestarter (!!!) to me on his lap when I was 5 years old. My dad loved to read novels in his chair and I was good at being annoying, so sometimes it was the only way he was going to get to read his book. I think what Stephen King was/is to my dad, Brandon Sanderson has become for me. The characters and the elements of history, discovery, mythology, magic, and technology in an interconnected universe that progresses through time and settings is absolutely fascinating and checks all the boxes for me. How they keep all the continuity straight is beyond me.
