    He did like Skyward, but then somewhere in Part 3, his interest waned, and when he figured out how to bypass the school's restrictions and play games in class instead of reading, it was over. I will tell him about it.

    So, update! He never picked up Skyward again, but he did pick out a random book at our school library (it's called the Land Beyond the Sea, I haven't read it) And he likes it He's like halfway through.
