  1. Yes. It's pure chance that most plants are green and not purple nowadays.
  2. Well, I was thinking nitrogen, methane and carbon-dioxide early on, until photosynthesis evolves and then CO2 and CH4 go down while oxygen goes up. The plants, because the star is slightly bigger, will most likely be either teal-ish or orange-ish.
  3. Keroux slams the door open. "Is this a warzone or something? From the number of metal pulses I'm picking up, it certainly felt like it." Keroux got out a chair and sat down, never once turning off his bronze. He glanced at the board, then, seemingly uninterested, made sure to watch the others, especially Kaiwk and Dusk.
  4. That guy from Elantris! *Checks Coppermind* Ahan
  5. A sudden burst of enlightenment
  6. So you're meant to pretend you don't know what's going on?
  7. Alright I've been trying to figure out what's going on in this subforum. How does this work? As I understand it, it is currently the Drominad Hunger Games. Is everything on the forum? If so, that would mean everyone knows where everyone else is at any given time. Apologies if there's something I missed.
  8. Yes I agree. I feel like that would confuse a lot of people who are trying to keep track of everything. If @Radon agrees, this'll need to be moved out of the Hunger Games subforum. Name: Reteleter Gender: Male Romantic Orientation (because romance is a thing that happens in tHG): Aromantic District: I want either a mental or temporal metal please Personallity: Likes to have as much information as possible before making a decision. Is slow to trust people. Biggest strength: Observance Biggest weakness: Indecisiveness when missing information
  9. What exactly do you mean by recent history? Recent relative to when? The emergence of life? Well, the late heavy bombardment was within the first 500 million years of Earth's history, so we can say that at least early life evolved alongside high concentration of metal. It will probably remain for a while as Earth didn't get true plate tectonics until the Archeaon Eon and this planet will probably be even slower form the smaller core. The metal can allow for some interesting things, like more efficient oxygen-carrying molecules than haemoglobin and bones and armour made from partly metal.
  10. and succeded. The campaign moved Thank you, @IcedOutPenguin
  11. All people in the Cosmere have a piece of some Shard. For Rosharans it's unclear as Roshar predates the Shattering, but the only Shard in residence is Retribution. The Everstorm, or whatever it has become, is like a mist equivalent. So I don't exactly know.
  12. I'll be glad if even one person knows what Spec. Evo. is. I guess one of the most famous examples is the 'Alien Biospheres' series on YouTube. I you're going to watch it, I'd recommend at least finishing episode 3, or preferably 5. So, who's ready to create a Spec. Evo. world? Here are my ideas: The star has maybe ~1.1 Solar masses The planet has one major moon, with a similar origin story to Earth's, and also a minor asteroid-sized one. It is one slightly less massive than Earth and has a bit less iron in its core, leading to a lower density and surface gravity. It has a similar temperature and atmospheric composition to Proterozoic Earth. It's tilt is 22 degrees, giving it slightly less seasonal variation. A day is 18 hours and this planet will probably have different Hadley cells (I need to rewatch those Artifexian videos). Any more ideas for the planet? Once we get to the actual Spec. Evo, I don't want to start from the phylum like Biblaridian did. I wish to start from the very beginning, or as close to it as possible, which means beginning with the first animals that begin to leave the plankton swarm. So while Biblaridian began after things settled down from the Cambrian, most likely an Ordivician equivalent, I'm starting from the Ediacran and before. Will there be a mass extinction when predators evolve? Probably.
  13. by Eciton burchellii, who launched Army ants?
  14. and Atta cephalotes was better Come on, you can't argue against the Leafcutter Ants.
  15. Alright I've just read the rules and I want to play test this, but there are some things I don't get. From the rules for the Sheildbearer: What is it referring to by 'defender'? Is it the Sheildbearer itself, the Defender card, or something else? From the rules for the Defender: Does this mean that it can attack adjacent troops if it is not adjacent to the Emperor, another Defender or a Sheildbearer? Also, in Section Four, Turn Structure, it says the movement rules twice instead of attacking rules. I would have assumed that you only attack one troop, except that the Scout's rules imply otherwise: Does this mean that, unless you are attacking with the scout, you can attack multiple times a turn? In Section 1, General, it says you need 'five tokens per player divided into four colors with 3 groups of 1 and 1 group of 2'. There are four kinds of tokens, but there are only 3 types of Terrain. Is the fourth for the defense tokens form the Sheildbearer?
  16. until *sigh* Solenopsis invicta arrived and destroyed Team Fire Ant?
  17. I'm pretty sure there was also a WoB saying that the Stormfather was more Invested. I don't remember the exact wording though. Really, we need to know the E=mc^2 equivalent except for Investiture and mass instead of mass and energy.
  18. As it appears that no one has made this yet, I'll be ranking as many things as possible in the comsere by Investiture levels. Of course, this will be an ongoing thing, and if anyone thinks I got something wrong, please tell me. 1. Harmony. 2 Shards. 2. The Dor. I guess the Investiture is the same as Harmony, but Harmony probably leads by a single BEU from Sazed's soul. 3. Retribution. Also 2 shards, but missing a piece of Honour. 4. The other Shards, not counting Ambition and Virtuosity. I guess Mercy would be on the lower side from involvement in the Ambition vs Odium conflict, and Automony gave a tiny bit to her Avatars. 5. Avatars of Autonomy 6. Wind, Stone and Night 7. Stormfather, Nightwatchwer, Sibling, Unmade 8. Nightblood 9. Yoki-Hijo 10. Elantrians 11. Lerasium Mistborn 12. Heralds 13. Returned
  19. Oecophylla was the termite's successor I guess I'll have to switch to Team Weaver Ant
