  4. “Arbitrary means they don’t matter and autonomy means we can can what we want.” Ferences paused for a moment. “Say, do we have enough money to hire a nurse for you?”
  5. “Come on now Miss Cerouge, why follow arbitrary rules? We’re our own masters, we have Autonomy,”
  6. “This city is specifically made to be everyone’s territory regardless of species,”
  7. “Well Miss Cerouge, identification is when you tell someone who you are. For example if you you told someone your name was Cerouge you would be identifying yourself. Now if I was to introduce myself as Cerouge that would be borrowing identity. It’s like a game of pretend but for some reason people don’t seem to like playing it.”
  8. “I mean permantly borrowing from. Apparently you’re not supposed to borrow identification. Take note in case you ever find yourself in a similar situation.” He pointed at the miniature dragon
  9. “Memory is a strange and unwieldy thing,” Ferences replied. “For instance I don’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday but somehow these men remember me borrowing from them years ago.” He shook his head

  15. “You can certainly try Miss Cerouge.” Ferences drew his sword and flourished it in an arc. “But I’ve had experience stabbing people before they stab you.”
  16. Ferences turned accusatorially to Divine. “Why did you let a child travel with you? That’s recklessly irresponsible.” He shook his head in disbelief.
  17. “Now now,” Ferences said. “We mustn’t be squabbling like children.”
  18. “I forgot.” Ferences replied innocently. “I have an awful memory.” I hope you stub your toe
  19. “A…” Ferences fell silent for several moments. “… subject I’m not qualified to speak on. Ask your mother.” I hope you drop your ice cream cone on the sidewalk
  20. The exclamation mark? ”Miss Cerouge, I told you, my name is Ferences and I a definitively not pregnant.” I hate you so much
  21. “Please Miss Cerouge, my name is not mister Preg-ant.”
  22. “I’ve been extremely polite. I refrained from dropping you off a precipice with some large stones.”
