Just curious. You said minimal magic. Just that mean magic is weak, but somewhat common, or relatively powerful, just really rare?

Although admittedly I don’t have as much rp experience when compared to some other sharders, I’d join if you’d have me. name: Jac (short for jackor) gender: male age: 23 occupation: apprentice hobbies: reading, general cosmology skills: good memory, relatively smart. magic: has graviton magic. He often used it to aid in his master’s experiments, and not much else, leading to him knowing good ways to support with it, but not defense or restraint. family: single father, and an older brother before wipe: kind of stubborn and crass at times, but a genuinely good person after: they feel kind of… dull. Like a dampened version of their old self.

Honestly, i would love that.

I would have put them all there, but as i said, there can only be 30 choices, and I figured the rosharan/scadrian characters deserved priority. And plus, axies had i think 1 viewpoint chapter, gaotona had 2 i think, and miles had 2 or 3 i think. While I’m not saying those are bad characters, i personally like axies, they are bad veiwpoint characters, for the virtue of not having much to go off. Although admittedly, i should have had probably exchanged jasnah with someone like moash.

The thing is, how would they get warlight? I assume that the everstorm still gives voidlight, not warlight. Still, what about the azish? While the tower could probably fill a part of azir, i would doubt it could hold every azish citizen.

If i can offer a suggestion, perhaps a midnight blue with some darker purples? I know rainwings aren’t traditionally known for darker colors, but still, i think it’d look nice.

Just curious on y’all’s opinion on this. Note that I’m asking who you think makes the best viewpoint character, not the best character in general. For example, i like serene, but I don’t think she made a very interesting viewpoint character. I think i got everyone, but if I missed anyone, please tell me me. Do you think if a person was/is highly invested( ie mistborn, yoki-hijo, aetherbound), that would make the process more feasible?

I have a feeling retribution might give nations that serve him some stormlight or voidlight fabrials, (like the ones the fused used in RoW), and let those who don’t invent new tech. Some offworlder groups might get involved, this is probably unlikely.

so, this may be a stupid question, but i was wondering nonetheless. Can a cognitive shadow become a shardblade? we know that spren, seons, and skaze can all become a shardblade if they have something pulling them into the physical realm. We know for spren, thats the nahel bond. so i was wondering. If you had something to pull a cognitive shadow into the physical realm, like some kind of fabrial, can they form a shardblade?

So, we don’t know much about mercy, but here’s what we do know: (btw all of this i pulled from the coppermind) Mercy was “involved” in the conflict between odium and ambition. Harmony reached out to mercy at hoid’s request, and was left “troubled by mercy” from the exchange. Here’s something we know about shardic intent: Ati was able to channel ruin into a more peaceful state due to his peaceful nature. It can be logically assumed that other shadic intents can be warped in similar ways, assuming the vessel’s will is strong enough. so, what if, mercy’s vessel manipulated the intent into something like “death is a mercy”, or what if they didn’t need to change the intent? We know that mercy was involved in the aforementioned conflict, but it only said she was “involved”, not that she helped ambition. So, there you have it. Mercy will try and go on a mercy killing spree. of course, there may be counterpoints to this, and someone probably has thought and said this before. But still, i hope you enjoyed.

So, I’m wondering. Could a feruchemist store an attribute in a shardblade? So, i know shardblades are extremely invested. Would that clash with the storing of the attribute? Assuming you can store an attribute in it, would that Feruchemical charge go away when the shardblade returns to Shadesmar/radiant Spren? Also, we know the percentages of each god metal in the shardblade depends on the type of spren, i assume a cultivationspren blade would be made mostly or cultivations metal, and honors metal with an honorspren blade.would the type of shardblade (ie living/dead) affect the storing or the possibility of storing? also for future reference, should this go in stormlight or mistborn forums?

1st: someone at B&N recommended mistborn to me, then i read stormlight, then so on and so forth. 2nd: i started looking up answers to some questions i had of the series, which lead me to the coppermind, which led me to the shard. 3rd: it’s a nod the cosmological concept of entropy, and i think it sounded neat.

My fav shard would be reason, and let’s assume it’s intent is something along the lines of “i must do the most logical thing”. let me think of some names: reason/ruin= culling, maybe? Like clearing out those who deserve it? Reason/ambition= resolution? Like being ambitious, but to a controlled extent reason/whimsy= restraint? Like controlling your whimsy with reason? reason/valor= tactics? Like the ability to assess a battlefield reason/invention= direction? Like channeling invention’s creativity to help others or themselves? If someone can think of a better name, id appreciate it reason/preservation= maintenance? Like preservation, just less overbearing. Reason/odium= empathy? Being able to logically process the emotions of odium? reason/cultivation= manipulation? Got this one from @Onironte earlier in the thread, so thx man reason/honor= compromise? reason/virtuosity= appreciation? reason/autonomy= survival? reason/dominion= stewardship? reason/mercy= exemption? Like purposefully allowing others to live despite it being illogical? I know this one is iffy. Reason/endowment= usefulness? reason/devotion= care? Like devotion, To a lesser extent.
