Sorry I couldn't respond earlier school got in the way but my opinion on hemalurgy is it is completly fine if you are only using the spikes to kill those already close to death and if I could become mistborn via hemalurgy I definitely would.

Hello I am new to the seventeenth shard I have read Mistborn era's 1 & 2 I have also read the stormlight archive and all of the novella's for both of these book series Although I know almost all of the fundamentals of the cosmere including Invistiture and it's connection to the identity of the wielder of said investiture furthermore I am very good with debates or at least "I Think"

Personally I think that Vin would win because of her access to raw investiture via the connection to preservation and his powers although if she had her earing in I think that would be an Immediate fail for her because that totally blocks her connection to preservation's powers but with Hoid's abilities of Yolish Lightweaving, Mistborn, Awakener, Lightweaving (Surgebinding), Soulcasting, Shardbearer, Elantrian, Worldhoping, Dawnshard holder (formerly), Ability to be immune to shardblades and others but the reason I think Hoid would lose is because even though Hoid has the ability because of the Dawnshard he held he is physically incapable of hurting people.
