  1. Personally, I'm rather glad that it will be out for PS3, as that's the only 'new' console that I have access to. However, having said that, in two years time I will hopefully have a decent enough PC to run games like this, and probably wouldn't get it on PS3 anyway.

However, I am very cautious about this venture. A video game based on the Cosmere is really appealing, but at the same time, I've seen a lot of games miss the mark when it comes to promises made and potential lived up to. My hope is that this feels more like an indie game than a large release, and that there is a lot of community feedback and support. It needs to be polished - Not visually impressive necessarily (though that would help a lot in this day and age), but it needs to give the impression of a finished game more than anything. It needs to be smooth and functional.

My worry is that a bad game release could kill any potential of Cosmere-related works outside of the books/White Sand comic for a long while. And with so many bad things released recently, I am simply wary and cautious. However, it if all works well... Then who knows? We might see things become far more mainstream, which can only really be a good thing for the future of the books.

  2. We don't. It has never been ruled out as a possibility, but they definitely have plans for more mistborn supplements before they even think about doing other cosmere worlds. However, there are some pretty decent fan-made rules for Aons, Shardblade and shardplate and awakening. :)

I really hope they do other worlds. It would be a real shame if they didn't, considering how simple the rules are and how easy it should be to extend them. And of course, a variety of worlds would be very nice, particularly since they kind of work as background information as well.

When you say other Mistborn Supplements, what are they considering? And when more books have been released, will they 'fix' the non-canon stuff in the rules?

But I think I'll be hones here - I just want my PCs to be Seventeenth Sharders :P

  3. Allomancer Jak is glorious, and that story is worth buying this on its own :P

The new rules are interesting as well, though I think the best bit is the large amount of extra info about Elendel and how Scadrial changed over the 300 years. It makes for a fun read, particularly when it mentions the effect that the development of electricity has had on society.

Do we know if they're going to do rules like this for the other Cosmere worlds, and at what point they'd be written?
