    Same here. Especially when you're only a little sick, but just barely more sick than "I can still do things" sick. Like when you are almost Ok to do things again, then you aren't. That's horrible.

    Since we seem to be telling stories of injuries... The day of Thanksgiving 2023, I was playing on a trampoline (one of the big backyard ones) and tried to do a front flip. Now here's the thing: I can do a front flip. Either on the ground or off a gymnast trampoline (you know, the small powerful ones with all the terrifying springs around the edge). However, a big trampoline is far slower to launch you, which meant I tucked too fast, and smashed my teeth into my knees. I dislocated two teeth, and stabbed one 1/4 inch into my knee. I ended up having to pop my teeth back into place myself. And my knee got infected.

    If you want other recommendations for Arthur retellings, may I recommend the Squire's Tales by Gerald Morris, and the Pendragon Cycle, by Stephen Lawhead. ...yeah, that author is... Special. ugh.

    Cadewyn lept back and ran for Bead, throwing a quick flare of fire at the roc. "OK Bead, lets go!" he jumped on the griffin's back, grabbed Eepy and draped her on his shoulder, then tapped Bead's sides to get him flying.

    "Easy there, giant aggressive bird." he muttered. he dropped the grate in place again, then turned, and stomped out the last of his fire, before running back towards Bead. "Ok, is it working now?"

    "...I can try. I have to be fast so the roc doesn't get too mad." he glanced over at the huge bird, then picked up the grate again, and heated it to read-hot, and started bending it back into shape.
