    "GOOD. They deserved it." He wrapped an arm around her awkwardly, "I'm sorry, about your mother, and your siblings. I know it hurts." He hesitated, then spoke again, "They killed mine too. They killed my parents and took my sister. It took me years to find her. They didn't kill her: they enslaved her instead. They tried to hold her from me." He looked up at the sky again. "But I protect my own. And I did."

    "They killed them, didn't they? They killed your siblings." His eye darkened, deep vibrant bright blue, the pupil narrowing to a slit. "Humans. Detestable." He growled, his veins starting to glow with his blue fire. "They took her from me. They took my sister." His face contorted into a horrible grimace, "I burned them."

    Cadewyn started. Then spoke, his voice finally holding a deep, right conviction it had lacked before. An intent. A purpose. "Tell me. Tell me what happend."

    "Do you have any siblings?" Cadewyn looked at her, still ashamed, but able to look up.

    He kept walking for a few minutes. He'd asked for this. Still, it had been nice to talk to someone who just saw him as a person again. That hadn't happened for years. "I killed a lot of people. I burned a city to the ground. I killed enemies, innocents, children, and those I had once considered friends. All to try and save someone." He looked up at the sky. "Who knows? If she had been dead I might not have stopped." He looked back at the ground, and kept walking, his face burning with shame.

    His face had fallen, looking far more serious. "Nothing. It's fine." He pasted a smile on. It was pathetic. Even he knew it, but he tried. "Do you want another apple?"

    Cadewyn shrugged. "It is. I hate it." He kept walking silently for a while before whispering something under his breath.

    "A different Dragon gave me part of his soul. He was dying, and I helped him. He still died, but I tried. So he gave me part of his soul. But I'm supposed to be bound to a dragon if I have part of one's soul, or I will go insane. That's already started happening, so I am trying to find one who will be my friend, and willing to bond and take some of the power of the soul and share it so I don't go crazy."
