So far, it seems that the Nightwatcher is capable of granting and removing almost anything (enhanced intelligence, partial existence in the Spiritual Realm, wife-specific amnesia, etc.) and so far we haven't seen any limitations. For example, would a certain nosy, world hopping character be able to *ahem* wish for Feruchemy? And Taravangian ended up asking for capacity, not for the Voidbringers to just not be able to return or something. Was it because he didn't think to ask, or was it just because the Nightwatcher wouldn't (or couldn't) grant that wish? She's obviously meddling with humankind on Roshar, but how far is she willing to interfere? I know I won't get a concrete answer until Brandon releases a few more books, but I'm still interested in your opinions

Ah man, it's just AMAZING imagining Hoid getting a bet of magic from each of the worlds, you know? He would be able to practice Allomancy, Feruchemy, Windrunning, drawing Aons, Soulcasting, Awakening, Investing, etc. But in answer to your question, I think the objects would just hover in the air

I'm assuming that Brandon added the poison reducing effects of aluminum so that the metal wouldn't be as "boring". But if you're operating under the rule that the alloy of each metal is basically the exact same thing, except effective on an outside target, wouldn't that mean that burning duralumin would strengthen any poisons in the body?

IKR! I've been waiting for the Warbreaker sequel FOREVER! I didn't get as into the Elantris book, but if the sequel comes out I WILL be getting it.

Wow, can't believe I forgot her name... Ya'll know who I'm talking about. 2 Trilogy: The already planned one set in place in modern times. 2.5: The possible one that may be a futuristic version of Alloy of Law or something. Another standalone series??? 3 Trilogy: The last one, with the futuristic stuff

Feruchemical gold is one of the Feruchemal metals that we've seen the most of: the Inquisitors could do it; Sazed used it when he was pierced with his own ring metal-minds (I'm pretty sure there were other instances, but I can't quite recall them at the moment); Wayne did it after getting shot, drinking poison, and having his back get burned; and Miles never stopped Compounding health. And it doesn't seem to quite match up. In Well of Ascension, Sazed managed to use about an hour's worth (An hour that he spent not lying in bed like Wayne did) of healing when fighting Marsh. Sazed healed the shredding that was done to his stomach after ten metal rings were shot into him, in addition to healing his broken arm and a few minor injuries. After that, his hour's worth of healing was all soaked up. But in Alloy of Law, I recall Wayne saying that he had filled TWO WEEK'S worth of healing in (presumably) his arm bracers. Those two weeks managed to heal a single gunshot wound, which I believe took the majority of his stored health. The remainder went into him healing himself after being Pushed by Wayne into some Vanishers, then he stored up a bit more to heal himself after being poisoned and severely burned. Is that about right? It just seems kind of weird to me...

I got this idea from a superpower forum, and I thought that I might share it here. So a magical genie that is a big fan of the Mistborn books picks you and 999 other people to take part in a test. Each of the 1000 people can be given an ability from the series (full Mistborn, full Feruchemist, Misting, Ferring, or Twinborn) if they ask for it. Here's the catch: You only get to receive the ability if no one else asked for it. For example, if you wanted to be a Mistborn, you could ask for it, but chances are that another person will ask for the same ability. So you won't get to be a Mistborn. If you manage to get the ability that you want, the genie will supply you with two hours worth of metal burning if you become an Allomancer or Twinborn. If you become a Twinborn or Feruchemist, you don't require metal to store, you can just store it in your own body. I think, considering the possibilities, I would choose to be a Allomantic pewter- Feruchemal iron Twinborn.

So we all know that Allomancy is genetic In Alloy of Law, there was a part that said something about Miles being skilled at dealing with Coinshots, because they're the most common Mistings So is the fact that Coinshots being the most common Mistings completely random, or are their more genetic traits that we haven't seen? If you look at Well of Ascension, we know that Straff Venture - a Tineye - had a lot of Misting children and one Mistborn son. If I recall correctly (I don't have the book on hand, if someone could correct me that would be nice) he had at least six Thug children, two Coinshots, and two Lurchers... So, are Misting genetics related? It would help if we had something more concrete concerning Straff's children

There are probably some unknown uses for gold that we haven't figured out yet. I think gold is kind of like aluminum and duralumin: everyone thinks they're useless so they don't study them Allomantically

I believe that it was mentioned somewhere (probably in a discussion stating that Wax's earring was a Hemalguric spike) that the smaller the spike, the less power it had. I think one of the characters in the first trilogy mentioned it, saying that the Inquisitors would have had smaller spikes otherwise. So yeah, the bigger the spike, the more power it takes or something like that

For your feedback on electrum, I suppose overall, I would agree with it being a two. I think the compounding for zinc could be higher. You would be able to think at least ten times as fast (depending on how much you've stored) and I think that would be helpful in almost any situation. You wouldn't have the same precise memory as an Archivist, but it would be somewhere close, IMO. The first two collumns are good If you're just talking about the benefits of drawing the attribute, steel is good, but if you want to include the times when one is also storing their attribute, I'm not quite sure if Feruchemal steel should be the same value. The same goes with pewter, zince, gold, cadmium, bendalloy, and chromium. If you're just talking about the benefits though, then I think you're good.

A suicide metal? Ugh. A kamakaze metal, maybe, but that... I thought it would be pretty interesting if an atium-steel Misting could Push a spot in the air. The next metal that passed through that spot would feel the effect of the Push that occurred in the past. Same with atium-iron Atium-pewter and atium-tin? Eh, a mental effect could be strengthening the mind? Maybe atium-pewter enhances the left portion of the brain and tin-pewter enhances the right? There's a lot of possiblities, which will be fun to theorize about, but the horrible thing will be having to remember the names 0f at least 32 new metals D:

So far, we (the readers) only know of one atium alloy: malatium, an alloy of atium and gold. Malatium is an external Pulling metal Atium is an external Pushing metal Gold is an internal Pulling metal So if malatium receives the "external" from atium and the "Pulling" from gold, would it be the same with every other atium alloy? Would all atium alloys be external, and all lerasium metals internal? Or is it too risky to theorize based on only one atium alloy?

It would probably make sense if they FELT weaker, but I don't think they actually physically would be.

Is there any word on whether or not Sazed will reintroduce atium?

So if a Thug were to flare their pewter and start doing some crazy bench-pressing, would they gain muscle after a certain amount of time doing this? Or would the fact that pewter is aiding your muscles mean that you end up with no gaining of muscle mass? I know this isn't really a "Mistborn" question, I just kind of got curious.
