[But Pyk knew him personally. Dint was one who trusted the Pact, gave himself to the cause they told him they followed. His idealism and trust was stronger than Pyk could ever be, from Pyk’s point of view. Pyk protested the Pact, while Dint worked to bring the world together. And when he saved the Pact from the Hundred Nations, they killed him. They were afraid that he would reveal their corruption to the public, who loved him. That Pyk would convince him that the Pact was evil. Pyk has always looked up to Dint.]

    I had a strange dream. I don’t remember all that happened in it, but I do remember that I threw up twice, but it was like weird heaving. Cuz my throat would clog up (with some sorta throw up thing), and I’d just be fine, other than the throw up. Perfectly able to breathe.

I tested an invention, and its capabilities. So the landscapes I saw were varied, but all had their merits. When I was growing up, though… it was like this. Except not as much talking.

    This is more powerful… much. But only if you are willing to commit atrocity. Otherwise, it should serve just as well as fire.

    Well he kinda made them occupy the same space as the ground, and then reapplied the forces the ground uses against the people, which killed them. The reason only bloodstains are there is because some Ennullers came and cleaned it up. ”Ennulling is the opposite of Narration. Instead of creating, one destroys. Not destroy, no. It just,” he shrugs, “doesn’t exist anymore. Most Ennullers are good, but there are some rogues.” He cocked his head. “Maybe they can help you with those invaders.”

    These abilities, granted, won’t work against the one you saw hallucinating; Madness can grant him psychopathy. But they should be quite effective against his soldiers. You are strengthened by the emotions of nearby peoples, and can, as a result, manipulate other emotions. If you do it too much, though, it will start to feed on your life force. Nothing drastic, just a warning that you need more emotions to continue. The reason it is effective against the soldiers is because each of them are permeated by Rage.

    “Tenth, earlier today, got Nullite in his blood and became an Ennuller. But he also got the two things I showed you - the purple crystal and the yellow strand - in his blood as well. So his Ennulling is on the fritz right now. That is what happened here; he Ennulled the forces keeping the civilians apart from the ground. We should be immune to this, as we have Nullite in our suits.”
