    Harold, a man of graying hair and bent stature, had a skill that he considered quite unique. Some would call it mundane. Others would call it groundbreaking. Others still may call it… witchcraft. Harold thought of it as unique. But if others discovered it… well, they may try to kill him. It was nothing like the King’s Plague-fist, or the Queen’s Pestilence, no where near their sheer power. But it threatened to overthrow the very thing they represented. And so, Harold kept low. Underground, even, though the thought distressed him. Whispers called him the Master of Thrall, a shadowy arbitrator whose hand was concealed by wealth. He wasn’t particularly wealthy, and he didn’t like the name they gave him. So… his company, completely legitimate, was named Harold’s Toppers. An old-fashioned name, for an old man. He has no aspiration for power. He did not wish to overthrow the government. No, he only wishes to deliver the promises he makes to clients, and deliver with efficiency. And he did so, which is why the clients came back to him, day after day. Harold entered his small room on the corner of the street, adjusting the sign behind the window before placing a stack of papers—commissions—neatly onto the table in the employee only section and switching the electric lights outside his door on.       this doesn’t have any impact on my grade

      I wasn’t sure before, but I don’t think she’s allowed to give us a grade on the final AP presentation

      and the AP credit counts for absolutely nothing at all… There’s a diploma, but I… don’t really need it. It patched GPA/ test scores for a scholarship, but I’m good enough for that.

    I need to update y’all.

    I AM DOING BETTER.

     

    Sickness: Mostly Gone

    Stress: Uuuhhhh… better than it was. Still not the best. Got a cool presentation next week that is like… kinda lame. *sigh*. But! I am not doing so bad as before.

    Sleep Schedule: Ssshhh. That’s not important. It’s not actually that bad, though. Just difficult to sleep when sick.

    Sanity: I get a little angry sometimes, as associated with long-term stress (I don’t think I have [uuhhhh is there a more precise term for it?] anxiety though). That anger is directed to one person. The end.

     

    I just spent an hour or so self-studying electric circuits bc I was stuck at school. Now I want to code a gimmick that visualizes/calculates circuit values automatically bc y not.

    (i.e. if you have battery with these resistors or these capacitors, what would current and voltage and resistance or capacitance of each part be?)


     

    I’m rewriting an older piece that I really like. Not actually sure if the actual writing came before Mirth, but the idea originated 2 years ago.

    (If any TLTer is looking, the piece is where Pyk comes from. I’d be willing to share that in PM.)

    Hmmm all good points I was most excited about sDNA inheritance. Spliced does imply a more advanced addition—some jumbling. That makes sense. I think that the jumbling may be smoothed out upon inheritance, making the trait manifest more clearly. What I understand from that WoB (I think I’m repeating myself here), actually, is that some shenanigans are going on. Liked it won’t allow the person to gain powers, it won’t stretch the web that way. But it will give them the possibility. It might make them like Vins father—sDNA not quite aligned, but a bunch of it there. But if one person burns multiple packets of sDNA, it might bring a higher concentration of sDNA. At the least, I believe it would increase inheritance chance, if not power. (Power is very unlikely to be encoded by quantity of encoding, after all…) But that thought makes me curious about the composition of a spiritweb. (Are there any WoBs you know about that? Imma go search…). How much of it is dedicated to that? I gotta go sleep
