  1. Afterimage noted the effectiveness of the strategy and began sending orbs of this energy as projectiles, passing them through as many Withergeists as possible. didnt see nothing bout a dragon till now... guess i should help Afterimage turned his attention to the dragon. Chaos. Rampant entropy. But entropy was in itself a form of action. Not a true manifestation of darkness. The Deep within him began to pulse, and he struggled to reign it in. How it managed to pulse, he did not know. But the Deep knew darkness. And it was eager to deliver. this is why I can't consider him ordered light.
  2. Hmmm if i had a suggestion, it would be to bring the orange of the fire out to another element in the background (or even the type) like, maybe make the sunrise a bit colored it just seems a little off to have one point of color, and that point not be something that is compositionally important. otherwise it’s like really good
  3. Afterimage looked down, grimacing. “I see. I didn’t want to do this.” Energy. Volatile. Unconfined, in the small space it was constrained to. The plasma reached a temperature… somewhere around 10^25 times the heat of the Sun. The Adari structure began to be strained, something Afterimage had never experience, and the Withergeist was torn to pieces—the mere gravity of the dust around it at that heat pulling its host apart molecule by molecule. “I hope that worked.” ya know I realized that if there was a maximum speed, the speed of light, there should be a maximum temperature as well. I was right… sort of. What I didn’t expect was how weird it was. At the temperature, the particles go so fast that their mass increases (something I forgot about), and their gravity is so strong that it overcomes the strong force and essentially performs fission with just gravity. But it doesn’t stop there. The gravity is so strong that each individual particle becomes a little black hole, with an escape velocity faster than light. We have no idea what happens at that point. But it isn’t pretty. Luckily, Afterimage is able to contain it. (Wow! AI is so smart!)
  4. Alright guys

I have an idea for a TAC (Temporary Actionized Cult) in the Shard

It would solve an ongoing issue that I’ve noticed

The TAC, TtLDTAC would be pulled together to address the “Through the Living Debate”, being a subcult of the existing cult.

They would compromise on what name to assign @Through The Living Grass. That way we can enact shenanigans upon his name sooner rather than later.

  5. Guys

i got SAT scores back I am happy

I got the highest score among my friends.

  6. Afterimage is essentially a Narrator in everything but nature—similar (but obviously limited, unlike a Narrator), but he adheres more to ordered power. His consciousness is kept within his protective Nullite (and he has a few backups. I thought very hard about how I could make him Narrator-proof a while ago…) but he occasionally projects drones that can do more precise tasks (not having to manage Nullite and the space they have to give it). anyways If I had to rank his nature, it would be Ordered. He’s got both Light and Dark Afterimage considered those that broke free. “Interesting.” He rose a hand, and a bitter cold rose. “I am curious how Entropy reacts when it is deprived of what it destroys.” A purple ring surrounded one of the escaped Withergeists, and the air around them—as well as the ground beneath them—disappeared. A force, detached from his construct, quickly accelerated them downwards into the pit. “Goodbye.” Hopefully it worked. He wasn’t quite sure how to deal with them.
  7. worth mentioning that the scribe and Afterimage are separate Afterimage nodded curtly, and dissipated before the flame could touch him. Meanwhile, he began neutralizing the Withergeists one at a time, as well as distracting them from other adventurers.
  8. @NameIess Afterimage, the ghost of Nullite left in place of the Scribe, burst into motion. A film of Nullite broke off, internal structure holding it up with intermediary lattices (in order to isolate the magic from the the Nullite) [which also owed to the clumsy, imprecise shaping of his body] as the film enveloped a number of Withergeists. Because he could not replicate Nullite like he could his own magic, Afterimage was only able to contain a few Withergeists. At the same time, he sent a drone—more defined and sharp than the Nullite construct that protected him— to communicate with another fighter. The drone took physical form, a perfect illusion of the man Afterimage used to be. The drone appeared to 9/10 @Through The Living Grass, regarding the wizard warily. “A luxsprite, eh? I still can decide if I qualify as Ordered Light…” Light began to pulse under his hand. “You need help?”
  9. Hhmmm is this still happening? you can ping the non-signups thread to see if anyone is still willing
  10. The door, notes the commission, is locked at all times. But it is the preferred entrance for the Skilled visitor.
  11. Aecus! he seems like a cool guy supposedly honorable
  12. Ohohoh can I join lemme get character How concrete would connection have to be? @Through the Living Hope
  13. Hi! Welcome to the Shard! I may not have posted except I know how to do so—you gotta copy and paste the quote, usually bringing it down to the “submit reply” whitespace before ctrl-c etc. What two characters would you most want to brawl to the death? (And why?)
  14. “I’ll see what I can do about the paint.”
  15. Hé sighed. “Time to go!” And disappeared, calling for the help of a friend. In his place, a grey dust—Nullite—barely resembled a human.
  16. The Scribe turned his head, curious. "A half-luxsprite, is he? Interesting. I'm a half-Narrator... and the other half is dead."
  17. Does it worry y’all that TLT has more than a quarter of all the posts in FGaRS?

They’re already a big chunk of the posts

FGaRS has ~1/4 of all posts, so TLT has ~< 1/16 of all the post

Using the power of the Dawnroleplays, we split the 17th Shard into sixteen pieces, and TLT became the Shard of Invention

  18. “This Murderite. How does it compare to the real thing? And does it have the same… murderous tendencies?” He frowned. “By which I mean, is it quite as aligned with Chaotic Darkness?” don’t remember if it’s Chaotic Dark or if they used the actual word destruction instead of dark
  19. A specter appeared, dim light revealing a man with a warm smile. "Is this the seminar?" The Scribe, for that was his name, took a seat as directed by the one who seemed to be in charge. @NameIess @ThatOneGuyOverThere @Through The Living Star @[whoever else is confirmed to be at the seminar]
  20. Harold frowned. “We might be able to visit the local Painter. But is that the best idea? I’m not sure if pretending to be prisoner outside of their cells is very… good…”
  21. The dungeon had been chosen by all except Harold, who wanted to study the Marsh of Souls—taking the smuggling job. Read the following carefully. He granted them each the power, allowing them to make pockets of space. The gateway into these pockets was limited to, upon creation, ten inches in either direction and was not necessarily required to lead into physical storage. If the gateway was disrupted, it would lapse and would be disconnected with the pocket realm. Harold has been able to retrieve items left in these pocket realms, but other are unable to do so. (These parameters are important for those who want to be very creative with the powers) The job was within the Governance Ring of the Third Adjacent, specifically their secure incarceration facility. They were tasked to find their way to cell 592 and attempt to free the prisoner within from government holding. At time 18:00 in five days, the guard detail was being reassigned in a, regular, scheduled ceremony, during which a minimal detail of some five guards formed the security for the facility. The timeframe left them just enough time to travel by tram from the Under Governance to the Third Adjacent and prepare whatever supplies they needed (in reason) for the heist. Cells 500-600 were more secure than the others, and only a handful of them were occupied. The facility would be guarded by a minor Void-Type Skilled, but they would be the only guard in that specific facility. The note warned them not to take the Skilled lightly, but also to go through the facility as quickly as possible, recommending the west door as both the entrance and exit. Upon extraction, they would take the person of interest to the enclosed location, not far from the facility but outside of the reach of the Third Adjacent. Good luck.
  22. I did an hour of writing and it was wonderful. It’d not been able to do that for some time cuz’f school ‘n’stuf’, so that was

It was quite good. I think I’m getting my momentum back.
