    Has anyone yet mentioned the possible allusion to Irish legend? It seems quite similar to me to the tale of the cattle raid of cooley. Cu Chulainn, the legendary spear-wielding hero, is pushed into a contest of champions for the fruits of the land he grew up in, and is eventually forced into contest with his adoptive brother Ferdiad. Not a serious theory or prediction, just think the similarity is interesting
