Cuendillar replied to Hoid Slayer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Good morning! I have to go to school, so I won't be as active today. Good we got two Regals! Sorry Akimiko for the overt suspicion.- 687 replies

Sorry, I'm still staying on Akimiko for now. I am still suspicious. Edit: Oops, at least I already put my vote in. -

I mostly initialized the Aki stuff. I wasn't just jumping on a train. -

The longer he goes without saying more, I think this is more likely. -

That's a reasonable strategy, but you didn't communicate this well. I also think that works better face to face, it's hard to create a deer in headlights effect with text. -

I think some of the elims are jumping on Akimiko to get credibility. -
What spren do you wish existed IRL?

Same for me. -

Also, I have a question for @Akimikoisthecutest. Why is it so critical that we reach a consensus on day 1? Yes, obviously it is desirable if we find a real suspect, but it's not the end of the world like you're painting it as. Why are you so desperate to eliminate someone right now? -

@Akimikoisthecutest, you're not arguing that you're not a Regal, you keep talking about "tone-polic[ing]" and how this somehow “let the Regals win." People are voting for you based on "actual gameplay reasons," it's not because your aggression is seen as bad, it's because it's seen as suspect. In mafia, often a mafioso will be overly enthusiastic about accusing others and splitting hairs about why they are a villager. It seems like you're trying to deflect attention by appearing to be a good teammate, but also shutting down anyone who expresses suspicion about you. -

I think akimiko is overcompensating. You're being very aggressive in ways that don't really make sense for how little evidence we have. Wahrheitswächter Akimikoisthecutest -

Then who would you vote for? I would consider Wahreitswächter to be the most suspect as of now. -

Am I required to vote? I read through all the posts and I agree that Wahr sounds the most off. There’s no evidence right now really. It probably is a fair bit suspicious, I’ll admit that, but Wahr is suspiciously flipping his vote from Coco, another train, to Stick. The “I might change it later” is mostly for people to realize I’m open to changing if someone seems suspicious or someone else convinces me. Edit: I’m also new to online Mafia, and am used to playing face to face. -

Here's the basics of regular Mafia. (Obviously the rules vary) I don’t really know who seems the most suspicious (it’s kinda hard on the first day). For now, I’ll go with Wahrheitswächter, but I might change later. -

There's a lot of things that could be done, whether by camera angles, shadows, or others, but the point is that Brandon most likely won’t show nudity in the movie (imo a good choice). -

I agree. The Church has a fairly strong position on this sort of thing, so I doubt he’d potentially exclude himself or his kids from watching the movie/adaptation he has full creative control over. You might not need much CGI. Awakening is pretty much just objects moving around and colors go to grayscale. Holding breaths just makes the environment much more vibrant. If the only thing you wanted was CGI and ignored props/acting/plot/everything else, you might be able to get high-schoolers interested in the subject to do it. -

I agree, but you can go too far the other way. I don’t enjoy excessive gore, but if you sanitize it too much, it can harm the tension of the movie. Yeah, that’s a good point, but awakening might be the easiest magic to adapt. It is extremely visual, open, and easy to understand. I suspect Brandon might use more suggestion and camera angles to tell the audience what is happening, but not necessarily depict it. -
Do you take breaks between books when reading a series?
Cuendillar replied to bedtime's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Is that a problem? I've experienced the same thing, and I don't think it really matters whether as long as I remember the overarching plot (even if I can't place details in the correct book). -

That was Robert Jordan, not Brandon Sanderson. With Sanderson, you'll have books coming out must faster.
