    The Crazed nodded in agreement. He sighed inwardly. People never thought his jokes were any good any more, and he hated it. Some of his jokes were good! When he acted insane, at least they laughed! He didn't like the insane act though. Not anymore. Too predictable.

    but they turn the tide when its darkest they give hope to the Noldor also Tolkien considered them centerpiece tbf, I agree with you abt no real protaganists, I just enjoy debating

    that makes sense well, I think Tolkien would've considered Beren and Luthien the protags, since the entire story hinges on them, and its almost a turning point in the story, launching the story from the second act into the third act so true
