Ok, an idea - Maybe you could get a thick wooden rod and build the blade around it (to provide a sturdy middle and handle) and when most of the blade is done you could sand the rod flat to make the blade completely flat and tougher than the typical cardboard sword (If that makes sense)

also consider the type of gunpowder used and the metal and casings of the bullet as both of those can greatly change the math involved 

1. do the half shards actually work?

2 can a radiant create a half shard at will?

I'v only read the first Mistborn book myself but I started with the Stormlight Archive and It made figureing things out way more difficult so I would 100% agree with reading Mistborn first

The Stormlight Archive is probly my fav of Brandon Sanderson's books but the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini is definitely my Fav non Brandon S. Book series

I was browsing the Coppermind once again and found another topic that I believe is under discussed, Old Magic. 

there are a few examples of it but I'm still confused as to how it works and what exactly it is? The Coppermind said it is "manifestation of Investiture on Roshar that is known to predate spren bonds" but that dosen't exactly answer my questions about where it came from and how it works.

The Example of Old Magic that I did find is the Nightwatcher but even the Nightwatcher is debated as whether or not to have Old Magic because it's simply her Claim to have it not that she actually does. So yeah I'm very confused.

Looks really good but isn't there a crystal like structure attached to the lower bottom portion of it? Just an idea
