  1. I have an entirely unfounded idea: What if December is who Hoid marries? We know he gets married at some point, and his wife doesn't know who he is at another point. (I really wish I remembered where I got this, but alas, I don't.) Again, this is completely without reason, just an idea I had.
  2. My personal guess as to what the 2 remaining Dawnshards are is that they are Cease and Think - My thought process is that the Dawnshards are the 4 Commands, and since Investiture requires both Intent and a Command, the Dawnshards would be the 4 base "Commands" that would be used for all the fun Cosmere magic - Exist (Confirmed Dawnshard) for creating stuff, Cease (Not confirmed) to unmake or stop things, Change (Confirmed Dawnshard) for transformation and changing various forces/Surges, and Think (Not confirmed) because Investiture can become alive, both on purpose and by accident. Not sure how the Shards would fit into my framework though.
  3. I honestly think that my favorite moment might be Taln defeating a literal army of Fused and Regals on his own, without any armor, weapons, or Stormlight.
  4. So, if it were Taln at the height of his powers, fully sane versus a Fullborn, Taln would win - Therefore, Taln is the best form of investiture (Technically, Taln is investiture.), next to a fullborn. #1 Taln Fan Who in the Cosmere could beat Taln in a fight back when he was in his prime? Brandon Sanderson Depends what level of abilities he has access to. If you're saying access to full abilities, I don't know of anybody who could beat him in an actual one-on-one. 5. Levitating platform: Take a pair of conjoined amethysts and isolate vertical motion so that they only move up/down. Then, drop one on top of the other, providing a floating platform. With the correct setup, you could use several pairs of them to move up/down, and if you make them only able to translate motion up/down but move sideways together, it can function as a 0 drag wing. Alternatively, just a fun floaty thing: Take a pair of conjoined amethysts and have the cages balance the weight between the two.
  6. First, I was thinking Taravangian pre Ascension, so that wouldn't be a problem. Second, I don't think Galladon ended up getting drunk in Elantris at any point, Lightsong would be there just to troll people, and all you need to do is stick your victims in the same room as my group and watch as their mind just gives up. Also, I now kind of want to change from normal Hoid to Hoid when he was cursed by Riina, because that would probably be even more mentally destabilizing.
  7. Psychological warfare group: Yolen: Hoid. Because Hoid. Roshar: Jasnah and Taravangian, because Jasnah is good at insults and Taravangian is good at mind games Scadrial: Wax and Wayne, because the two of them are just completely baffling sometimes. (Also, just because Wayne.) Sel: Galladon and Sarene, because Galladon can make people depressed, and Sarene, because of how quickly she managed to cause someone to hang themself. Nalthis: Lightsong and Nightblood, because both of them are at least somewhat crazy. With this team, there should be no problems driving everyone insane! (Well, everyone that wasn't already crazy)
  8. I think this WoB kind of proves that the one Radiant is a Skybreaker: (Also, sorry if this was already brought up) Questioner A few years ago, you told us a story about the future Skybreakers facing off against Scadrians for aviar. Were they doing that on behalf of their Shards? Or were they doing it for their own reasons? Brandon Sanderson RAFO. Excellent question. You can find that reading online, a possible sequel to the Sixth of the Dusk that I had worked on for a little while. Dragonsteel 2023 (Nov. 21, 2023)
  9. To be fair, the "Rods from God" idea isn't actually that far-fetched - (TSM spoiler)
