  1. “Thanks. Ok. Layers. I’m thinking heat, shrapnel, concussive, radiation. Twice.” Nick turns to the others. “You might want to stand back.” Nick says the exorcism incantation, then touches the crystal to the mote of energy. “Energy potentially of the sun; begone!” he commands, hoping that the crystal will work as intended and trap the energy within it. @The Stormfather, does it work? Kaleb’s crystals are intended to trap sun demons, but they also work on heat, electricity, and likely other, more arcane forms of energy.
  2. “Have you ever seen anything like this before? SIMON, can you analyze these?” @The Stormfather, does SIMON get more than “glowing yellow” through a visual analysis? If that doesn’t work, Nick turns back to Kaleb. “That looks pretty sun-like to me. Let’s try an exorcism. Can I have a second crystal?”
  3. Veer puts his hand out without looking at it. If Gemini puts it his hand, he pulls it back and it begins to levitate. Sighing, he tosses the plate behind him, where it continues to levitate, and takes a floating spoon to eat what ever food Gemini gave him. If Gemini didn’t give him any food (which is ambiguous in your description), Veer tries to hand the plate back, leaves it floating in the air, and sighs. “Thanks for the effort, but I’d meant a plate of food.” If Gemini went too close to Veer, Veer sees his shoes and they start levitating.
  4. “Huh.” Nick frowns at the ground. “Did I do that, Kaleb?” @Ancient Elantrian
  5. Ok. @Ancient Elantrian are you still here? Veer walks in through the door to the cafeteria, looking down. He’s a rather average man, except his hair shines in rainbow colors, and a cloud of small objects floating in the air surrounds him. “Could someone get me a plate? I don’t want to break anything.” I hear your character needs stabbing.
  6. “Yeah, that’s what I’d been trying to explain.” Nick scoops up some of the sand, experimentally pouring it onto the suit. “Plants essentially do that, and so does my suit. But the crystals make it so that you can steal much more at once.”
  7. Veer makes it there, only levitating a few random objects on the way. Any idea who’s there?
  8. “Thank you. I’ll recruit someone to get me some food, so I don’t levitate all the food and utensils.” He walks away in the wrong direction.
  9. “Thank you. Should we do that now, or can I have breakfast first?”
  10. Veer shrugs ruefully. “I used to be able to control it. I don’t really know what the advisor did, but it broke my powers somehow.”
  11. “I was told this was a good place for someone who launches things at people when I think about what they look like.”
  12. “The king’s advisor snuck up behind me. She said something about cannons, then grabbed my arm. I ended up here, with no control over my scaled gift.” Still looking at the ground, the man with the shining hair gestures to the floating objects.
  13. “Hello. My name is Veer. Someone told me to come here after I accidentally stabbed them.” He continues looking at the ground, and the cloud of pencils, small furniture, gravel, and other small objects continues to revolve around him.
  14. @Spark of Hope Veer walks in through the door to the clinic, looking carefully at the ground. As he passes near objects, they lifted into the air, becoming a cloud following him.
  15. “Yeah, when the ice melts, I will have tricked the sun into giving me a bunch of energy I can steal from it.” Nick clicks the wings into the back of the suit. “If I had some metal, it’d be faster, but this will work.”
  16. Nick grins back. “Indeed.”
  17. Nick whispers the exorcism, then commands. “Heat of the sun begone from these wings!” Water droplets and frost forms on them, and the crystal set in the back glows.
  18. Nick places one on his chest, then covers it with the last of the solar mat. A pulse of blue spreads out from it. “Was that really necessary, SIMON?” “Nope! I did get a drop in thermal energy and an increase in radiant and some sort of concussive wave, though. I didn’t get a chance to do a chemistry analysis.” Nick takes the other crystal, and fits it to the base of the fans he made. He twists to lock them together, and it’s clear that they’re not fans, they’re wings. “I’m gonna trick the sun into giving me a bunch of energy by hiding it in the crystal. What would I say to do that?”
  19. “Huh. Cold. I think I need two more. One to channel the power of the moon lord, and one to convert SIMON through my xenosuit. Uh, I’m honored to become a follower of the moon lord.”
  20. I’d been imagining these a fist sized, but presumably they aren’t. Nick nods. Then, he attempts to ceremonially consume the rock.
  21. “Ok. How do I actually convert?”
  22. Some sort of sharp objects on the edge of ropes might be useful. You’d want long ropes in general, so you can attack without losing breaths. Apparently awakened rope can toss boulders, and you could hold one end while the other attacks.
  23. Approved. And yeah, the two demolitionists knowing each other makes sense.
  24. “Is the moon the same blue color as the crystals, though? I’ve been to several moons; most of them were made from water and ice. The one from the human homeworld is apparently pale grey, and is like stone covered in dust. I should really go see earth some time.” Nick takes his glasses back from Aki. After giving SIMON a quiet run-down, he continues. “I like your core theology. It makes sense. Earth had a problem one time, where too much smoke in the sky almost caused it to overheat. But I’ve been to the stars. As far as I could tell, they weren’t alive.” He looks conflicted. “Your deity seems to be a real thing, but some of your theology doesn’t match what I know. Would I still be able to convert, even if I don’t think the heavens and the sky are the same?”
