  1. Granted. While shapeshifting as bigfoot, you get shot by a redneck in the woods. I wish to nail every job interview I ever go to.
  2. @Dragonheir @SpiritOfWrath "Peaceably executing justice after violence has been initiated? After this debacle is over, could you teach me your ways? This thing is almost impossible in my homeland. If I could bring it back there, wars could be prevented."
  3. Clay puts the knife away, but doesn't take his eyes off of Charlie.
  4. "You forfeited your business with him when you threatened to kill him. I'm all for peaceful discussion, but now I have to ask, yet again, for you to leave."
  5. "Alright, that's enough trying to make peace." In a blink, Clay pulls a wicked looking bone knife from a fold in his clothes and stands behind Charlie with the knife to his throat. "You're going to leave, and you're going to do it quickly. Nobody threatens my friends."
  6. "By the count of the scribes in my homeland, it's the year 753. I'm starting to think, though, that we are nowhere near my homeland."
  7. "How is pure gold worthless anywhere? That's enough gold to buy a horse and a week's worth rations!"
  8. "All he said is that he was in debt. Nothing more."
  9. "Anyway, he has money now, certainly enough to pay you back."
  10. Clay looks at the newcomer strangely. "Excuse me for asking, but how did you get here? Outside is just a void?"
  11. "My homeland has ancient tales of dragons. They didn't last very long, but the colors were supposed to be spectacular."
  12. "I have no use for it anymore." Clay tosses a small pouch full of them to Par. "That's an interesting rash, Veer. I might have some balm for it. He pulls a pouch out of a pocket on his shirt. "I'm Clay, by the way."
  13. Clay rummages through his pockets, and pulls out some coins Par had never seen before. "Like this?"
  14. "Wha... What?" Clay had just woken up from sleepwalking, and was confused why he was in the basement.
  15. Clay knew now that nothing here was like back home, so he didn't comment on how strange it was that he got his own room. The bed was softer than anything he'd ever felt, and he fell asleep quickly. What he didn't expect were the dreams. He was back in the basement, across the room from the map. The map showed his home, desert with impassable mountains on one side and a violent ocean on the other. Black smoke began to drift out from behind the map, forming grasping tendrils. They twisted towards Clay, and pulled him towards the map. He tried to run, but right before he could, he woke up, back in the basement with the map.
  16. "Clinic? Like the healer's tent? I've never seen a structure so expensive." Clay yawns, and asks "is there somewhere I could get some sleep?
  17. "What kind of place is this? This isn't the temple of the Lost Priests, is it?" Maybe the Orb brought me here. This is a false world if I've ever seen one.
  18. Clay steps out of the Clinic into a wide expanse of sand. "Where in the Desert is this? There's no dunes, and even worse, no sun or stars to guide me." He considers for a moment, and figures Trevor was right about leaving not being a great idea.
  19. Clay finds the exit and heads west.
  20. "I just need to get back to the Desert. The Living God has told me to do this, that is the wise choice."
  21. "Uh... I seem to have misplaced the exit"
  22. "Do... Whatever?" Clay slowly walks out the door, never taking his eyes off of Trevor until he's a few yards from him, then sprints to where he thinks is the exit, but promptly gets lost, since he's in a different place then where he came in.
  23. "I have come to reclaim the Orb of False Worlds, that which was stolen from the Living God a century ago." Clay holds up the plastic globe.
  24. Clay slowly stands up and turns towards the doorway, clutching a simple globe. "You have something that belongs to the Living God. I have come to reclaim it."
