Ryan starts around at the sudden appearance of a newcomer. "I think, my friend, you have reason to fear, It must be bad if you ended up here." he sang. "Because you see, in an interdimensional void we float and I assure you, my friend, that's no reason to gloat."

Ryan wanders down to the lobby and asks Tal @Ookla the Believer "To ask you a question I have come, If I see spren, is that real or a symptom?"

Walking to his room, then climbing, then sliding, Ryan repeatedly looks over his shoulder, trying to get a good look of the weird shadow that seemed to be following him. For a moment, he thought he saw a shifting geometric pattern on the wall, but then it was gone. Truth... He spun around again, catching another glance of the pattern. "Cursed shadow, is this singing a curse you gave? If you really want truth, have this: it's attention I crave. With an office job, working in a cubicle, I feel as insignificant as a gull. So, I kind of enjoy this singing curse, It brings me attention, even if it brings me to the hearse." The shadow, no, the pattern, crept out from the corner of his vision, making it look like there were shifting ridges in the floor. That will do. Also, that isn't my "curse". "What are you, and why have you came? And if I may ask, do you have a name?" You read The Way of Kings, you should know what I am. Ryan found his door, opened it, and walked in.

"Dang, that's a lot of stairs, I hope, at least, that my room has a chair." Ryan grinned at using slant rhyming, maybe it was wearing off. He took the key, and tried not to get lost.

"Room? I guess that's something I cannot avoid, as it seems right now we're trapped in a void. With sense of direction, I must be the worst in the land, It would be really great If you could lend a hand."

Truth... Ryan spun around, looking to see who said something. But he saw no one.

Ryan gives it a quick blow. A sharp, high, note pops out, and out of the corner of his eye, he see's a shadow. Not exactly a shadow, though. There wasn't anything to cast it, and it seemed to be moving. When he looked, though, it was gone. He ignored it though, and a smile grew on his face. "A definite joy, I'm filled with bliss, but it might take a while to learn to play this." "While singing is great, my point still stands, you didn't sing that, you said it, because you can!"

"An accountant I was in the past, a job I thought for sure would last. Steady income, my teachers said, and always warm food, and a comfortable bed. But the work was dull, and I began to see their trick, so I fled to the library, read a book, and there was Wit. He told stories, long, whimsical, and free, and above all, I thought, that flute is something I need."

"In my head, I'm filled with doubt, yet I might just lack a creative out-let."

"Thanks, although I with this "gift" would flee, If I could stop, I'd be filled with glee."

Ryan shook his head. "I just got here, so you see, And evidently, my tongue isn't free," he sang, then looked away, embarrassed.

"You're a doctor here, your position seems to show, I came here because I figured you would know."

"Considering singing I cannot stop, I think I have more brandofandonitis than the average sop"

Ryan Clearwater tumbled through a void, his memory slowly returning. One moment, it seemed to him, he'd been filing paperwork, the next he was being drawn towards something. He wasn't sure what it was, but he walked towards it anyway. He turned onto a road he'd never been down before. At the end of it, he saw what had been described to him as a "library". He'd never been really interested in reading, he read enough reports and files at work. But he went in anyways. He walked towards the fiction section, and without any conscious thought, picked it up and started reading it. The Way of Kings, the cover said. Before he knew it, the library was closing. But somehow, the librarians didn't seem to notice him before they left the building. He really liked this "Wit" character. The way he told stories with music, that was really something. "It sure is a shame that the sequel is checked out." Or that's what he ment to say. Instead, he sung: "That sure does suck, I'm out of luck, the next volume is gone. It's not to late, I'll have to wait, it'll be back by next dawn." Ryan jumped back in shock, he hadn't meant to sing anything. "Let's try this again, I'll try not to rhyme, this curse must be slain, or I'll run out of time!" Panicked, he stood up, and ran full sprint out of the library. "This must be the disease, called Brando-fando-nitis! I'll go to the clinic, they'll cure it with ease!" He sung quietly, as he made his way to where the clinic used to be. As soon as he passed onto the grounds, black spots appeared in front of his eyes. As he continued to run, the spots grew, until he passed out. The sight of a building below him startled Ryan out of his recollection. He was falling towards it, and he seemed to be slowing down. Pretty soon he was level to the door, and completely stopped. He opened it and stepped in.

The ability to read people's mind, but only the brain-stem part of the mind. (The part that controls automatic body functions, like your heart beat and breathing while you're not thinking about breathing.) The ability to manipulate keyboards within arms reach that you can see. As a side effect, it creates the illusion of you typing on the keyboard.
