Rex nodded, working to keep the tears out of her eyes as her hand continued to hurt. She turned her face away slightly, knowing that her pain would effect Daniel in unpleasant ways, and not wanting him to be able to read her face. Rex stumbled slightly.

I do still think there are more deserving humans out there, but, whatever I guess...
I dyed my curtain bangs a lavender purpley color and it's making me absurdly happy...
There is like... nine inches of snow on the ground and that's making me happy...
HAPPY is making me happy...

Rex smiled at that, squeezing his hand softly.

"That, or, she just is mad at the world and out to get someone. That's another possibility." Rex said.

"It could be because we... we aren't... official?" Rex said softly, wincing at the blunt reply.

"It could be..." Rex stopped again.

Lily stays close to Liz, unsure of what is happening.

"True, but... well... I kinda meant..." Rex stopped for a minute, looking down. "I meant what we should say about us."

"Knowing her, it probably will... Any ideas of what to tell her to keep her from building more walls?" Rex winced at the memory and at the growing pain in her hand.

Rex stood up, and helped Daniel to his feet, then continued walking down the road, holding hands with him again.

"I think we should keep going. My hand is starting to hurt again, and it really should be looked at." Rex said, after a minute. She kissed his cheek quickly, blushing.
