She leaned into his embrace. "I don't think I'm very worthy of that love. I want to be..."

"I just... I don't know what to say? People never need me. I'm not necessary." A tear fell from her eye and she wiped it away quickly, almost angrily. "I just... I'm sure you can do better than me."

"I just..." She glanced down. "Never mind. I'm fine."

She pulled away from him slightly. "You don't mean that." She whispered.

"I... I'm not sure. What could you do?" She asked hesitantly.

"I don't know." She said truthfully.

Lily is silent, if rather frightened.

She smiled at him. "That's good."

Rex walked with him in silence for a time. "Are you alright?" She finally asks

"Thank you. I know it's hard, but we'll get there." She squeezed his hand and kissed his cheek.

Lily nods and puts her head under the blanket again.

"It. Was. My. Choice."

"But it was my choice to grab the knife. That means I have to take responsibility for my actions."

"What's happening?" A small voice comes from nearby. Lily's bright eyes peep over the edge of her thin blanket. @SmilingPanda19

"What makes it true? Tell me."

"That was wonderful. Thank you." Iris said kindly, "Now, do you feel any calmer?" The message gets recorded for later. @Ravenclawjedi42

Rex sighed. "You really have to stop blaming yourself. That's not healthy."

"What is your fault?"

"Probably, but what's wrong?" She asked, looking at him carefully.

Rex followed, adjusting her satchel, then taking his hand in her good one. "How far is it?" She asked as they walked.

Rex shut her eyes, but opened them after a minute. "We should go soon." @Aeoryi

"That depends on what all needs doing. I'd be happy for you to help with anything." She walked back over to him, laying her head on his shoulder. "I love you."

Rex blushed. "Well, thank you for that." She smiled at him.
