"Yes." She said firmly. "I don't want anyone else. Ever."

"Good." She kissed his cheek, snuggling closer. "You are the one for me..." She whispered close to his ear.

"Hmm... maybe." She continued with what she was doing, still smiling.

"Oh really?" She grinned, twirling a small piece of his hair around her finger.

"I'm glad..." She moved so that her cheek was against his.

she smiled at him. "I love you, you know..."

"Well, the way I see it, is I like you, so I like what you say about me, right?"

"Why wouldn't I like it?" She tapped the tip of his nose with one finger, still grinning.

"Thank you, but... just breathe for a moment. It'll be okay..." Echo keeps her tone calm and friendly.

"Then why are you apologizing?" She giggles, softly, still trying to hold in her mirth.

"Shh... just breathe. It'll be alright." She repeats, resting her palm against one of the bars.

"For what?" She bit her tongue to suppress giggles.

"Fox..." Echo stands up slowly. "Shh... calm down, okay? Everything will be alright, just... breathe for a moment."

Echo sighs, withdrawing her hand. "I'm sorry."

Echo reaches her hand through the bars, offering her hand. "Shh... it's ok, it'll be ok..."

She opened one eye, a slow grin spreading over her blushing face. "I am..."

"You..." She whispered quietly. "Are so sweet."

Her lips twitched as she tried not to smile.

She shivered and snuggled closer before settling again.

Rex stayed silent, waiting to see if anything would happen.

She continued pretending, very much appearing like she was already asleep.

Echo turns, listening. Echo scrambles over to the bars. "Fox?" She whispers sharply, "What's happening?"

Rex slowed her breathing, making it deep and even, appearing asleep, but not fully falling asleep.
