    RE: Kandra as constable, I believe in the Ars Arcanum it says somewhere that the Kandra mostly serve Harmony. So the cop-killer-kandra might be a rogue on someone else's payroll.

    I'm a Kindle fan, and they've got apps for phones and tablets and PCs that you can sync across. It's a bit more restrictive than some other formats, but Amazon's whipsersync delivery is great for the "it-just-works" factor. I agree that PDF is not a very enjoyable format to read from, but if your heart is set on Smashwords, then that's probably the right choice for you.

    I Am Not A Serial Killer is the only book to date that I read in a single sitting. And I'm not like a fast reader or anything. In fact, I was so taken with it that, when I had 5 minutes alone with Brandon Sanderson, I used it to ask what he thought of the then as-yet-unreleased Mr. Monster. K
