  1. Looks like we have one slot left with @Truthweaver, @Mandamon, @kais, and @Robinski submitting tomorrow.
  2. Gentle reminder that there will always be another submission period.
  3. Do it!
  4. Looks like we're at four for Monday: @Majestic Fox, @Mandamon, @Robinski and @Truthweaver.
  5. So we have @Mandamon, @kais, and @Robinski, and two slots left.
  6. Two slots still up for grabs if anyone wants 'em!
  7. @Mandamon you can count me interested, tentatively so; seems to be a lot up in the air for me right now. I was thinking of trying to find a cycling tour and apparently my dad and his fiancée may or may not be going to Europe that year. Plus I still need to figure out if I'm, y'know, actually going. XD
  8. So we have @Robinski, @Majestic Fox, @Mandamon, and @kais. Did I miss anyone?
  9. Pinnacle? Peak? Summit? wait, let me try again now that I’ve properly read the post. I’d probably go with “top”.
  10. Wow, it really did. So it looks like we have: @Majestic Fox, @mrwizard70, @Rogueshar, @Mandamon, and @kais for tomorrow; and @Robinski for Monday the 26th.
  11. So I see four right now: @Majestic Fox, @Mandamon, @Robinski, and @kais.
  12. Seeing four for tomorrow: @Majestic Fox, @Mandamon, @mrwizard70 And @Robinski.
  13. Looks like we have @Majestic Fox, @Mandamon, and @Robinski for tomorrow. Any other takers?
  14. Taken care of now, but thanks for jumping in! Mea culpa.
  15. Correct!
  16. Looks like we have sa full house tomorrow! @Majestic Fox, @Mandamelon, @Rogueshar, @kais, and @Truthweaver.
  17. So two for this week, @kais and @Paracosmic_nomenclator. Any other takers?
  18. *blinks several times* Before I get busy...? Oohhhhh. I get it. That was a good joke!
  19. Wait, you want me to actually submit now? Oh well I suppose. Well, in all honesty, it needs a few significant rewrites (plus I should actually finish the draft at some point, I guess?) and I'm considering throwing my had in the ring for an academic CfP that's due Feb 16, so it might not be next week.
  20. Hey, guess who went wandering through her file archives and actually found a short story to work on? (Okay, I mean, I guess there's plenty to work on if I were so inclined.) I'd honestly intended to write that album before getting back to fiction but this works too I guess...
  21. @Robinski hey, stuff happens. Glad you're feeling better. @Mandamon 5500 words is fine, especially since it looks like we don't have a full roster for this week. So that's @Robinski, @Mandamon and @kais for this week.
  22. Looks like we have five again for tomorrow, then: @Rogueshar, @Curiosity's Splinter, @Chuck Hossenlopp, @Mandamon, and @Robinski.
  23. That's above my pay grade! I'll have to refer it to management
  24. Interesting! Blog posts I get but Google Docs is surprising to me. Or, maybe agents' concern is more about publicly available Google docs; the mind boggles a bit at the thought of a protected document constituting publication. Presumably, because online documents are so widely available; even if a blog post doesn't practically get more circulation than, say, a local magazine that only publishes a hundred copies, it's possible for a huge audience to stumble onto it. It's the same reason that most publishers buy first rights to publication and many don't buy much in the way of reprints; they don't want to spend their resources publishing something that's already available elsewhere.
  25. Sorry, I didn't see this yesterday. Looks like you got your submission out anyway, though? Totally fine, it's a quiet week and things get overlooked sometimes. Yeah, we've never been picky about what specific dating systems are used. Brackets or whatever you want to include is fine. That requirement exists so somebody can quickly eyeball a submission or forum thread and see when it was submitted without having to track it down (and also helps ensure we don't end up with identical file names week after week). We ask for email submissions even when the work's already online to ensure our submissions have a consistent format, and because posting the works directly to an online forum can have ramifications for anyone hoping to publish their work with a traditional press.
