  1. "Oh!" Elan says, "Fun! I love watching his memories, he totally has a thing for-" Elan pauses. "Yeah. Aaaaaand he's dead. Fun times. I hate dying. So inconvenient." "Hey! Roy!"
  2. "Hi! I'm guessing one of me knows you?" Elan said happily.
  3. An Elan formed out of mist, coming out of one of the orbs. He yawned. The sun had just risen in his universe when he saw that the Everything was open. “Oh, hey Arranis.” He said, seeing his friend from lots of places. “Nice place you got here.”
  4. He stood up, hoping the distraction would work. “You mean nothing. You are nothing.” He said to The Being. “You have NO POWER OVER ME!” “You will regret saying that, Elan.” The Being said. Elan's pain increased, but he kept creeping forewords, knife ready, his steps slow and heavy. “I will never fear you. I lived in fear, yes. BUT I WILL NOT DIE IN IT!” Elan stabs at the being. Without the medallion he is susceptible to mortal wounds, and the blade goes straight into his face. Where he is stabbed white liquid, blood like, spills out. The Being screeches, and grabs Elan, lifting him up by his neck. There is a sharp crack as his neck is broken, and he goes limp. The next moment all the darkness sucked inwards like a black hole, into the place where the being was stabbed. The world re-formed, and there was nothing noting The Being had ever existed. Except the corpse of a man who would never know he was a hero.
  5. Elan grunted. “Trying… to…” Elan was going to die. He knew it. But the others would get a chance to live. That… that would make this worth it.
  6. “I will.” Elan says. He steps out of the cube. Immediately his skin starts to burn, and he clenches his teeth against the pain. “Years. For years I have been running from you. I’m done with that. You hear me? I. AM. DONE.” Elan says adamantly. “TODAY IS THE DAY YOU FALL.” “I have the totem, the medallion.” The Being says. He waves a hand and Elan’s pain ramps up. He collapses onto his knees. Elan is sweating, and there is fear and pain in his eyes. Ave… Aventine, I need help. Elan sends. You won’t survive long out here. There’s a medallion on his neck. I need you to take it off. Get it away from him. While he’s distracted killing me. Get it off him. Please.
  7. “Definitely… frightened.” Elan nods in thanks.
  8. Elan scrambles back from the little demon thing. “What just happened to-“ ”In the end it doesn’t matter if we die, because we FOUGHT. We tried our hardest and stretched our lives out just that much.”
  9. "You always have a choice." Elan realized. "You can die, give up. Or you can accept death, and fight to live just a little bit longer. And we choose to fight."
  10. “Your only choice is to die” The Being says. ”No it’s not…” Elan whispers.
  11. Elan lets go of the knife, hesitantly. He sobs. "I don't want to die... I don't want to die..."
  12. Tears fill his eyes. "I have to..." he says, face filled with pain, "I have to..."
  13. The Being growls at Almond, wanting the little entity's soul. "You... you, worthless entity, will be consumed in the most painful way I can formulate." Elan seems to calm down, but only barely. "Out. Out. Out. Please. Out. Out. Out." "If you destroy the cage you will be spared." The Being says. Elan looks up. Spared. No dying. He looks up at Aventine, and what he wants to do is clear. He pulls from his belt a small dagger, crackling with electricity.
  14. The essence spread and corrupted, gaining speed the more planets, solar systems, and galaxies it consumed. Massive civilizations fell without even having time to react, the essence consuming themselves and their defenses. Nowhere seemed to be safe. Except a small cube In the center of the mass of essence With four people in it. Elan grabbed Pic by the shoulders, ripping him away from Aventine. His eyes were manic, and he was shaking. "GET ME OUT OF HERE!!! GET ME OUT!!!" He shouted, shaking Pic violently.
  15. The Being looks surprised at the fire, but not distressed. More and more essence pours in, burning away, none of it successfully hitting anything. "WHY FIGHT?! YOU MUST RETURN." The Being says, getting angry. He waves an arm and the pressure of the essence on the container increases, simultaneously shrinking their refuge and further breaking the barrier. "COME TO ME." He says, his body stretching out, lengthening until he surrounds the cage. His body grows strange, extra heads and arms on his thin torso, like something out of a high abstractionist's nightmare's. They slam, hard, on everywhere where cracks have formed, shattering small chips off the barrier off, slowly eating away at it, trying to get the whole cube to collapse.
  16. Elan starts to hyperventilate. "Get me out get me out get me out get me out get me out get me out get me out get me out get me out..." He says, over and over. He sits on the floor and rocks back and forth, looking around, overhead and underneath, everywhere the same, oily blackness.
  17. Elan immediately goes in, staring outside. "Oh no..." The Being kept slamming on the barrier, and it continued to fracture, more and more essence spilling in. Most of it continued to be vaporized, but some started remaining, flowing down the inside of the wall and to the floor.
  18. "I'LL BE WAITING WITH A COUPLE THOUSAND WATER BALLOONS!" Elan shouts as they disappear.
