    The soldier moans. “WHY does nobody listen during training.” He sighs, “When prisoners are captured, they’re attached to the queen’s hive mind, then carted off to a new universe where they’re slowly snuck in a position of power. Through this process the queen has a hand in millions of governments and powers across the multiverse. Got it?”

    The world shifted, bending and stretching, then reforming in an unfamiliar landscape. A small escort was waiting on the other side of the portal. "Thank you." One of the people in the group said. She had a voice that sounded commanding, "You may return to the homeland."

    The portal flickered, then exploded into light, a strange 3-d sphere of black.

    The guard rolled her eyes. “Thank you.” She said. They arrived at their destination soon enough. A large, dark iron room. In one wall there was a stone embedded into it. It glowed with an eerie light. “Activate the multiversal portal.” The man in charge said gruffly.

    “You have no idea what I’m talking about, do you.” The guard sighs. “Why does no one pay attention during training.” “The hive charge. It’ll replace her mind and connect it to the hive. There should be a needle on your tool belt. That’ll be it. We’ll stick her with it before we send her off.”

    “Okay, bring her to the portal.” The man in charge shouted. The body was hoisted up, and they began marching away. A guard turns to Rui. “You have the hive charge ready, right?”

    The Guards cautiously walked over. One of them poked her with his weapon. “Magic sufficiently removed, sir. She should be a normal mortal now.”

    The guards do not know the universal surrender pose. “SHE’S ATTACKING! REMOVE THE DEMON!!!!!!” The guards aim and fire strange spear-like weapons. The shoot out a sustained beam of light, which attaches to her. Then it begins pulsing away from her body, trying to drain her of energy, both in the physical and magical.
