Émeric walks into the Headquarters room, his face calm and emotionless. He walks up to the board and presses a few buttons. Suddenly from the clouds rain begins to pour, flooding the ground quickly. He sighs.

He turns to the camera and flashes a dashing smile. “Well wasn’t that so heartwarming! Seems these little ones want their big sister to win! So send in those bets and get that girl some sponsors!” The cameras play the capitol tune and shut off and he steps out of the room. “Get these three to their room please, make sure they have a nice dinner.” @Ancient Elantrian

Émeric puts his hand on the children’s shoulder and whispers. “I will take care of them. You stick with that boy and I can help you survive. Make the crowd believe you’re falling in love.” The mic didn’t pick up his whisper. The box begins to lift up and he nods, taking a step back.

Émeric waits a moment and mumbles. “Okay… let’s get ready to head out…”

“A lollipop dear.” He kneels down behind the two children, holding two out for them to give to her. His smile is weak, he wishes he could do more for them but he has to continue the games. This is as far as he can stretch.

Émeric feels a warmth in his heart. This is the kind of thing he loves. “Would you like to give your big sis a little treat?”

Émeric stands back. “You can stick your hands through little ones, go ahead…” Émeric doesn’t physically react to his comment. But it hurts inside. Can’t you see I’m trying to help these children to have hope?

His hand is soft and careful. He slowly leads them to a door and ushers them through. It’s small closet sized room with one wall of glass. You feel it detach from the building and start to fly up. He holds Lily’s hand so she isn’t scared. “Let’s go see your big sis.” There are two pockets on the glass wall to stick your hands through. They hover over the arena and slowly lower in. A layer of burning acid covers all the other walls of the rooms exterior except for the glass so nobody can latch on and leave as well. They are slowly lowered and stop about a hundred feet from Marewill and the group.

“Much better.” The cameraman whispers into his ear and he nods. “Follow little ones.” He holds out his hand for Lily to grab and follow.

“What if I could give you better?” He smiles gently. He stands up and waves for a camera man.

“Well darling, if I could promise that I would. I wish I could. But I do know she is alive at this very moment and she has a special someone tagging along with her and he will stay with her for as long as he can, I know that much.”

“That it is…I’m sorry she decided to go to the games. But I do have to say, she is very well protected.” Protected? How could she be protected in the games.

He smiles at them softly. “Now Lily and Meron… and of course your lovely mother. Have you been keeping up with the games?”

He pats the couch and stands up, sitting down on it. “There you go! See how wonderful that is? Now I have a few questions for you two and your mama if you’d like to hop on up here and chat.” He is actually quite gentle, something about young children really touches his heart.

“Well, there’s this fancy little thing in the capitol that we like to call a lollipop.” Out of his sleeve he pulls two lollipops, one red and one blue. “They are very sweet.” He chuckles. “Much like you two.” He holds them out for them.

“Meron and Lily… why those are truly beautiful names.” He sounds quite genuine about it. “Now tell me Meron and Lily, do you like sweet treats?” He smiles.

He chuckles gently. “I promise I don’t bite… do you mind telling all these lovely people your beautiful names?”

At the sight of the children Èmeric moves down to their level, on his knees. “Why hello little ones!” He gives a small cheerful wave. He seems rather gentle, he is in a suit and his accent is quite noticeable but nothing too scary.
