“I’ve already said I’m coming. I’m not going to leave you. And yeah, living would be nice.” Alex pricks himself with a small needle, chanting a couple of words. “Ok, I’m ready.”
“Well then it’s a good thing you have a friend by your side,” Alex said. “Your Highness,” he added sarcastically. “How can I help you?” he asked seriously.
Alex gasped, then muttered, “This isn’t real, this isn’t real, he’s just playing with you.” Alex rushed forward, pulling out his knife and slashing at Dilsha.
Alex continued to weep. He looked up for a moment and saw something starting to coalesce. It’s probably that staff guy again. Good, either I’ll kill him or he kills me. Either way is good.
Alex turned and saw the man from before, raising his staff and hitting…nothing. Or it appeared to be nothing. Whatever, that man had taken Dil. Alex rushed him, slamming into him and wrestling the staff out of his grasp.
