Reluctantly, she stood and stepped outside, shivering again.

“You can, you have, you are. Just stay with me, you make it better.”

“I don’t know what to do either. I don’t know if I can do anything.”

“Like…? Obviously there’s something you think I should.”

“I am. We can’t let anything more happen to us.”

“No, no, we have to go.”

“You’re right. I just…don’t want to leave. This feels so perfect.”

“We are,” she said, smiling back.

She melted into the kiss, wrapping her arms around his chest.

“Ok then. That just shows how no lucky I am to have you.”

“I don’t think so, but I’m glad you do.”

“Good.” She stayed there, motionless for a while.

“Yes,” she said, pulling herself closer to him. “Are you?”

“Not really. Let’s stay here a little longer.”

“I think that could work.”

“I don’t know either.”

“We probably need to leave. People must be looking for us now.”

“Better,” she said. “You?”

“Good morning,” she said back.

Eventually, she opened her eyes, yawned, and sat up.

She stopped shivering, looking content in her sleep.
