Eventuri pauses. "If you're willing to share with me, then yes. We have enough to last at least a little longer. Maybe another tribute will lead it away from the oasis. There is also the potential of the water underground, where I was digging before, but getting very deep without any tools will be pretty difficult. I swear though, the dirt felt wet down there. There could be some kind of underground creek flowing into the oasis, maybe."

"I don't know...We don't really have any equipment that could be useful against something like that. We do need to get water, but... I don't know if its worth our lives."

"Great. Doesn't look like I'm going to go fight it, then."

“Did you get a good glimpse of it? What’s it like?”

“Goddammit. I won’t try to kill you. We need water, though, but if there’s a monster there…”

“We’ll stay away as long as you don’t try to kill us!” Eventuri shouts back. “We don’t want more fighting. Did you happen to know what they really loud noise a second ago was?”

“So…do we go through the maze or do we leave?”

Eventuri turns to Rayer and Stylan. “What’s the plan here? Do we think another monster’s in the arena, like the ones that showed up in the last games?”

"Thanks," Eventuri continued walking, considering eating the berries in his pocket.

Eventuri watches Ceru leave and walks away in the other direction, towards the dead tree maze. "I'm headed to the oasis you told me about," he says to (I really hope I remembered right) Stylan, the one who had been in the tree before.

“We do whatever it takes.” Eventuri walks a few steps away as fighting breaks out among the tributes, trying to find a stone in the ground he could throw or a stick from a tree that would give him some way to fight other that his hands. He does this while looking towards the fight most of the time, not wanting to get ambushed.

"You may feel this adrenaline when you fight. Many do. They used to have a name for it, back in the times when there were still resistants against the Capitol. At least, more vocal ones. They called it the Thrill." Eventuri's voice cracks. "Stop killing. It is of no benefit to us." he pauses, thinking for a second. "There's only one way more than one of us gets out of here alive." "We have one chance, Ceru." Eventuri lowers his voice to a hushed whisper, in case of Gamemaker observers. (Even though they can 100% still hear him, this is entirely futile.) "We need all of us alive for this to work. I studied what happened the last time, and I've found the conditions we need for this to work. But we need people alive. If you keep charging off at people, not only do you quite literally kill them, but you alienate every spectator to what's going on. The people watching the games at home, they won't be inspired by this. What inspired them that day, so, so long ago?" "They had allies on the outside. They changed the minds of everybody on the outside. When they managed to swear radiant oaths from within the arena, they showed more honor than most people outside the arena." Eventuri glares as Ceru, a fire in his eyes. "Run. Drop the dagger- stop the killing. Stop the bloodshed. Leave Cherise on the ground and run, because this isn't of benefit to anybody. If anybody is deserving of wielding a weapon, its the one who doesn't know how to use it, and the one who won't use it. A fight isn't something you should be seeking; War, a fight, a kill, should be something you are ever prepared for and never have to truly do. As soon as fighting breaks out amongst us, we're all dead."

Eventuri stops behind Stylan and takes a nervous step back. He grabs another mostly useless handful of dirt from the ground. He's terrified, but with the beating of his heart, he feels.... Excited? I can see why Ceru enjoys this. "Ceru... Don't make us do something we're going to regret."

Eventuri charges with him, throwing his handful of dirt at Ceru's face. He shouts to Caerin "You'd better help us out here!"

“I’ll go with what you two decide, but I’d rather fight now than wait and fight later when all of us are dying of thirst.”

"I have exactly nothing." Eventuri reaches down and picks up some dirt. "I have some dirt. Oh, wait, I have some berries in my pocket. I wasn't sure if they were poisonous or not."

"How about the Quartet of Confusion?" Eventuri hides behind a tree. "It's not decided." Eventuri declares. He lowers his voice so that only Stylan and Rayer can hear him. "Do we really think Ceru, the murderous buffoon, is the one we should be keeping as a teammate? Do we think we should just continue the whole Game like this, dragged along every time he sees a new person to kill?" "There are three of us. Four, if you count the person he's chasing. We may not have good weapons, but there is no way that Ceru can fight all of us and win. We need to get rid of him. Or let him run after the other tributes and just leave because staying on a team with him is a death sentence. Sooner or later he's going to run across other people who have teamed up with each other and they'll kill all of us because of his mistakes." "Either he has to die or we have to abandon him."

Eventuri freezes, thinking for a moment on how to best communicate his ideas to Ceru. "Ceru! I found another person! They're very nice, and have shown themselves to be smart. Who's that with you? Are they friend or foe?" Eventuri shouts this from a distance, mostly to not have to be up close with Ceru again.

"Yes. But, if by some miracle it comes down to just the two of us... I will not hesitate to kill you. Just know that my priority is just to survive this arena. There are people who needed me on the outside that they pulled me away from." Eventuri pauses. "But no matter what, I am not a person to kill you while you sleep. I am not someone to stab you in the back while you're fighting another enemy. I may be stupid, in that, but I will hold to my principles. No matter what."

"The ground is wet. I don't know if there's a possibility of actually getting anything out of this. And I'm not too worried about purifying it- I'd rather get sick but still live than die of thirst." "There's another thing I feel needs to be said. if those two come over here, there'll be four of us here. Now, a team of four would be quite powerful, but...Falling to infighting could happen quickly. I want you to know that whatever happens, I will not-" Eventuri starts whispering. "I will not side with Ceru unless my lie depends on it. He's the worst kind of person the Dystopia has created."

"One of them, the one with the dagger, is the one I spoke about." Eventuri says. "He won't kill you, I don't think. He seemed to trust me simply because I had a vocabulary. He doesn't." Eventuri pauses. "I haven't met the other one."

Eventuri keeps digging for a while. "I can feel water! Can you come down from your tree to help me out a bit?" @Ookla The Story

"He's... Not very nice. He only really let me live because he thought I could be useful to him. I won't mention you to him. If you see him talking to me, try to not get noticed. The last person we saw he sprinted after like a madman." Eventuri finishes talking and continues digging down. He'll stop after going a little ways into the ground and feeling no moisture, but if he feels that there might be water a little bit further down, he keeps digging.
