  1. Aventine returned, pale. She put Jar Man's unmangled arm around her shoulders and, muttering more choice things about Eyes, stepped onto the into the portal.
  2. "OOOhhh, my-" She put a hand on her mouth, attempting to stop herself from puking. Apparently, it didn't go too well, because a couple seconds later she ran off. Pic and Jar Man could vaguely hear the sound of a noblewoman wretching violently.
  3. "Why didn't we just take that to the clinic?!" she whisper-yelled angrily.
  4. Aventine raised an apprehensive eyebrow.
  5. "NO! We need to avoid drawing attention - there's a reason I didn't let that guard yell. We can't raise any alarms, and breaking the floor would definitely raise an alarm."
  6. "I think we need to go down. Look for stairs, trapdoors... something to take us lower."
  7. Aventine sighed, but extinguished her tin. "Of course you'd time it so that I'd stop listening right when I heard TAAron..."
  8. After Jar Man (and assumedly Pic @Cash67) went inside the keep, Aventine leapt off of the guard's shoulders. She landed at his front, facing him and Pulling his sword out of his hands. She slammed the butt of the sword into his head, knocking him out but not killing him. A sound echoed from the alley - the other guard returning. She launched the sword towards him as well, again knocking him out. She Pulled both limp bodies towards herself and tied them back to back with a rope, following Pic and Jar Man in the keep. "Alright," she said once she'd found them, "let's find 'em." She closed her eyes and gently burned tin, listening for any familiar voice.
  9. "Good luck, you two." She burned steel and iron and leapt up to the roof above the entrance to the keep. She dropped the clip in front of the guards, who stared in confusion. She pulled it back up a little, and moved it up and down, just to show that there was a Mistborn there - they wouldn't now how inexperienced the Mistborn was, so she felt fine revealing herself. She shot the coin to the side, and sent others along with it. Only one of the two guards left. Aventine frowned, and she dropped more coins to the other side. The guard looked to the left, but didn't go after the sounds. Fine, you've brought this on yourself. Aventine dropped off the roof and landed on the guard's shoulders, putting a hand over his mouth so he couldn't alert his co-guard. She nodded her head to the entrance, hoping Jar Man and Pic would get the message. Get in there, now! @Cash67
  10. "Do not kill anyone, or so help me if there is a good god in the universe..."
  11. "You don't get to have 'fun' because you continuously make bad life decisions. Despite being a full-grown adult, you still need a babysitter. Plus, if you stay out here and fight the guards, there's no guarantee you'll follow us into the keep. I am not risking unleashing... that," she gestured to all of Jar Man, "on Luthadel."
  12. Aventine looked at Jar Man with the wide-eyed Mom look (you know the one). She turned back around and pulled a clip out of her bag. Even with echoes of Waylen in her head, she couldn't keep iron and steel straight. She burned steel and a blue line went to the coin. She focused it on the clip and it flew from her hand. She extinguished steel and began to burn iron, pulling it back. "I'll try to distract the outside guards. You guys get in first, and I'll follow." @Cash67
  13. "Alright - let's go to the keep." She took off at a light jog in the direction of Keep Elariel.
  14. "These people, you dimwit." She turned to Pic. "Are you ready, as well?" @Cash67
  15. "We're near Keep Elariel. With tin, I was able to hear TAAron's voice." In a midst of cacophony, anyway. "If his warp thing worked, Rue should be nearby, too."
  16. Aventine knew where they were - she had a premonition, at least. Now she had to wait for Pic. @Cash67
  17. Aventine closed her eyes and felt for another new metal; she began to burn it. Her ears flooded with sound. Tin, Waylen’s voice said in her head, increases the senses of those who burn it. She listened closely, and she heard the gruff voice of an Inquisitor. She extinguished the tin and opened her eyes. There was no way finding them would be that easy. She burned it again and heard TAAron. It IS that easy!
  18. As Aventine experimented with these new metals, she realized she’d left Pic behind. Come on, Ave. She waited in an alley, feeling sure that he’d be able to catch up.
