    Aventine wiped her face with a napkin. She hadn’t liked the potato salad either, so she’d gone up once for more chouta and biscuits and gravy.

    Okay, you can come back now. FINALLY. Her arm fell as her body relaxed. The green and black hair brightened to a deep brown and when her eyes opened, they were gray again.
