  1. She blinked once. Twice. Thrice. He’s… he’s one of them. He’s also one of us. A tribute. Just work with him for now. You never need to do it again after. She turned away from him and did what he’d asked.
  2. If Marewill heard him, she made no show of it. She just stared at him with wide eyes.
  3. @The Stormfather @J. Magi @Scars of Hathsin She slowly began to back away from Mark and Astra, and toward Tinker, Sharp, and Dougella.
  4. She dodged around the newcomer as she rushed to another table. The tavern owner came over to Wit and July’s table. “Is everything alright this evening?”
  5. “Jolane-“ Someone began to say something loudly in another language. Without another word, she hurried to another table.
  6. It was not long at all before Jolane returned with the pigs and the water. She was grateful for the tavern’s dim lighting- the mark on her face wouldn’t be visible.
  7. She saw it. Just faint, barely there. But it still made her freeze.
  8. “The suckling pig,” Jolane said quietly. Then she left to get both of their orders.
  9. “Alright.” She left to get them.
  10. “Suckling pig, stuffed turkey, leg of lamb…” she started listing off more specifics.
  11. “For beverages, there’s beer, rum, wine, and whiskey. For food, mostly different kinds of meats.”
  12. “Yes, we do. Will that be all for you?” She looked young… probably too young to be working in a tavern, what with its regulars… around 18.
  13. @Ancient Elantrian Jolane, a waitress, approached the newcomer. “Is there anything I can get started for you, sir?”
  14. Tena looked away awkwardly.
  15. “I meant in the future.”
  16. “You can tell me if anything’s wrong though.”
  17. “… alright.”
  18. Her eyebrows furrowed. “Are you alright?”
  19. She dragged him away, trying to be cautious of the shrapnel and injuries. She tried to look at them to make sure he was alright.
  20. She looked down at her hand, and it rippled faintly. “I’ll be ripped apart,” she said quietly.
  21. “If I use fire, I have to use water for an equal amount of time.”
  22. “Got it. Maybe…” She pulled out a crimson grenade, lit the fuse with her tongue, and lobbed it towards the Peacekeepers.
  23. She rolled behind him and ended in a lunge position. “I can cover your back, but I’m not killing any of them,” she said quietly.
  24. She looked up at Mark, then down to Dougella. She was going to be okay. He might not be. She held her dagger and stealthily approached the Peacekeepers. Once she got close enough, she tapped her speed and targeted both the arms of every one she could. She wasn’t going to kill anyone. Not again. But she could at least let Mark get out.
