    She backed away from him, taking Aela with her. Seeing the embers on the crown made her nervous, but she couldn’t do anything about it.

    She jumped, without meaning to pulling away from Aela. She worriedly watched Jakob.

    She wrapped her arms around Aela and rubbed her back. How strange.. just the night before, she hadn’t been able to sleep without Aela comforting her. Now she was comforting Aela, who didn’t communicate with anyone else. She’d forgotten that Aela had lost her family too. She wasn’t going to let Aela lose her. They’d keep going. Together.
