  1. DGJM cocked his head. "Would thumbs work the same way?" He did a hand stand and immediately fell. "Nope." "Well, on a scale from 'picnic in a field' to 'death', I'd say we're swaying towards the 'death' side."
  2. DGJM said, "Ooh, I've always loved pinky toes, myself." "Great! You guys... er, do that." She turned to TAAron and Rue. "Can you two handle things here while I get that bucket?" @Ookla the Abstract @Ookla the Believer
  3. "Really? That sounds exhilarating." Aventine added, "I-I actually have a third bucket it might be in. Can you two wait while I grab it for ya?"
  4. "Wait- ah, I see. Their bodies are the rainbow cupcakes." Aventine facepalmed. "Great, now there are two of them."
  5. "Fair point." DGJM took it. After a moment, he wrinkled his eyebrows and whispered to JM, "How long have their heads been rainbow cupcakes?"
  6. DGJM looked at the ceiling. "You'll give yourself a bad name doing it this often. We already have a bad enough rep."
  7. DGJM replied, "How do you know you don't look like me?"
  8. The doppelgangers looked at each other with recognition but neither said a thing.
  9. DG Aventine thought for a moment before signing, "I think so."
  10. DG Aventine glanced at the two Jar Mans wrestling against the wall.
  11. "There's probably more of all of us," Aventine said. "Create an existence with no drugs."
  12. As if on cue, the figure from Ezrium's pocket world slipped on Aventine's water trail.
  13. "Like... you cut it off?" She shrugged. "You would probably know as much as I do." She paused for a moment. "But I bet she would know..." DG Aventine froze.
  14. "I think since she's 'me', I can vaguely feel her emotions. And when I fell down, I saw something. She was protesting against her Rue, and... well, lost her ability to protest at all."
  15. "Just a little annoyed, is all. I figured someone would help me up." "Thank you." She started to move her hands, but hesitated. She looked at Rue out of the corner of her eye. Now on her feet, Aventine said, "She does. And I was wrong. She's not scared of you, Rue. She's scared of her Rue."
  16. She thanked him - for his sympathy and her release - with her eyes. She lifted her hands and started to sign. "I'm sorry. I was forced between two evils. One that hurt me, and one that hurt others. I don't think there was a right choice."
  17. She looked around at everyone - they were surrounding her. She looked back at Jar Man and shrugged, with a look that said, "Where would I go?" On the floor, Aventine started to get up. "Thanks for your concern," she said sarcastically.
