    She thanked him - for his sympathy and her release - with her eyes. She lifted her hands and started to sign. "I'm sorry. I was forced between two evils. One that hurt me, and one that hurt others. I don't think there was a right choice."

    She looked around at everyone - they were surrounding her. She looked back at Jar Man and shrugged, with a look that said, "Where would I go?" On the floor, Aventine started to get up. "Thanks for your concern," she said sarcastically.
