Last night I took a shower and brushed my teeth. When I got out, I brushed my teeth and went to the kitchen for a drink of water. While walking into the kitchen I heard my dad say "I drew Carl and Ellie"
Now, it was a reference to Up, which is an amazing movie btw, but it confused me so I postponed my drink and walked in confused. My parents saw me and my dad said "Okay, I need to ask you something and depending on how you answer the family might fall apart."
I was very confused and concerned. Dad: "Okay, so you're using a crayon and the tip breaks off. You HAVE to use that crayon. What do you do?"
"Um... well, first I look to see if there's another crayon of the same color..."
"Okay, off to a good start..."
"And if there's not, I peel off the paper on the end and keep using it"
And there was much rejoicing
Dad and sibling both hugged me (I remember sibling saying "I have a [sibling]!" and Mom laughed silently in the background
My mom flips the crayon around and uses the "eraser end"
And a few seconds later my dad, my sibling and I got into an argument about how crayon is pronounced. My sibling and I say "cran" and my dad was adamant that it was "cray-on"
It was interesting, to say the least
