Through the Living Hope

Everyone talks about tears of joy, but I doubt that many people experience it.

Five years of going to my church, guys.

Five years of my youth group.

Five years of summer retreats.

Five years of annual dodgeball tournaments.

My friends.

Four years of not winning.

Youth pastor revealed last, fifth, fourth, and second place in that order. My team wasn’t called.

”The third place team is…”

When I tell you I was worried.

”[Not my team].”

I immediately stood up with my hands over my mouth and nose. I walked down from the bleachers and grabbed a prize bag.

And I began to bawl.

I had prayed. Prayed. I have one year left as a youth. I wanted to win just one tournament.

God answers prayer. I’m telling you.

My best friend in the world was in the third place team. She told me she would have felt horrible if she’d beat me. I love her so much (like a little sister).

Also… completely different note, but I wrote a song on piano yesterday. I don’t even play piano. I just know basic music theory and how to name notes.
