Though, I am predominantly a Lurker and am a little hazy on spoiler rules for Sigs. I would probably hold off on it since it ties in strongly with Cosmere spoilers namely Cultivation/ Nightwatcher speculation.

Well... If this was George RR Martin, that blackness would have been the end. haha Thankfully for Rysn, Roshar has .8 gravity and thicker higher oxygen/ thicker air. Although I hope it's her stylish outfit that slows her down enough to survive that. She was fricken high. And with Vstim killing that beast, I do wonder if a certain Szeth-son-son-Vallano was in his service at the time.

It seems very much along the lines of the bible and the Pentecost. The apostles speaking and each man hearing in his own tongue. This was my read of the epilogue in WoK anyway. Taln burst through the gate and didn't even bother learning where he was before speaking. It seems a useful thing for a herald or someone like Hoid to be able to do. The more populous shardworlds all seem to have multiple spoken languages among their nations, much like our own world and not the all too often "Common Tongue" that often simplifies fiction. But that has never stopped Hoid. I think that "no accent" will continue to be a possible way to spot heralds.

When Rysn saw all of the naked Reshi, did anyone else think back to The Wheel of Time when Elayne and Nynaeve set off with the Seafolk in The Shadow Rising? I like how Rysn thinks that she isn't a "Alethi prude." I feel if Shallan (although technically Veden not Alethi) was the one in the boat instead, she would have freaked, possibility passed out. In an unrelated note I do wonder what they do to protect the boats from highstorms if the "islands" have no proper harbors.

I was at the signing and I asked him,(and I'm paraphrasing now because I didn't get much sleep before or since) "If Hoid would be printed as an MtG card, what would be his color and converted mana cost?" Brandon said he would be a "Straight Blue Planswalker" and "expensive" "probably 7 to 9 mana 4-6 colorless UUU". I should have pressured him for a sample loyalty ability or something... but the line was NUTZ. For thoes who don't understand the magic color pie/ philosophy of each color, there are plenty of essays online, but without me explaining all the info; to me it means he has real power in craftiness and trickery (like we didn't know that before) But that tells us he's not Blue-White or Blue-Black just "Strait Blue", which is important. And as planeswalkers go it puts him up in at least Nicol Bolas' level. Jace is a small fry to a Blue plansewalker with Hoid's level of expertise.

O I read Warbreaker as soon as I finished her hero of ages copy I had borrowed. Those four books were the only Brandon books she had. Since then I have read pretty much everything. And I did manage to make it to the Baltimore signing. I just drove 4+ hours through the night right in to she ship to take a 3 hour nap before work rather then go back to the barracks to sleep. I felt so giddy it was ridiculous. I made it in pretty early to the BAM and was still #199. There were so many people! I had so many awesome nerd conversations and did some harmless flirting with the yogurt girl (Who liked my Doctor Who shirt). So work today sucked and I should probably sleep... but it was worth going to. And I asked Brandon A MtG question which is what I spend much of my time and $ on. OhOOO FREE COOKIE!!! WHERE?

Yea, yea, NEW GUY here, but I could not find a topic on Brandon's new youtube account and its subsequent videos. I just had to cease and desist my lurking to start a topic on the subject and perhaps start the ideas flowing. I am fully aware that anything we read on these videos is not cannon in any way, until it undergoes revision and gets published. But, I find this insight into Brandon's method fascinating. I am a big fan of this sort of thing, and wish I was a fan back when the whole Warbreaker evolution was being updated real time. I can say however, that I love the idea of getting another Rysn POV since the idea of her character, (The uninitiated traveler visiting strange locals) really is a wonderful proxy for the fans. I love the callback to the strange lethargic Shin grass and how alien our "normal" flora is to Roshar, and I am glad Tyvnk is doing well. (on a related note... Get well soon Vstim) I will re-post what I said on the youtube comment of Part 3~ Hopefully everyone else is enjoying these posts as much as I am. I posted In the Newbie thread and then came directly here. Hopefully I have done everything alright. Does anyone else have any thoughts on these videos?

So, with a fandom this organized, and one that has read unpublished works I've no access to. I can't imagine that happening often. I Digress... Probably the main reason I've lurked as long as I have; is that I only own The Alcatraz series on Audiobook and wanted to use the name Bibloden (SP?) Smedry. (Based on A theory I have based around the Scrivener/ Evil cult founder being a jealous younger brother to the Smedry Heir). Well... I wasn't sure how to spell his name. I'll prolly make that post in the underused Alcatraz section eventually. Just wanted to introduce myself. Mistborn was the 1st fantasy book I ever REALLY read for pleasure. I borrowed a copy from the wife of a guy at my old work center. (tho I always enjoyed reading back in school... mostly) So I am one of the minatory who has read Brandon before RJ. But I love all of Brandon's work, And he has led me to really appreciate the craft of writing through his podcasts and such. /end Wall of Text.
