  1. Welcome, Good luck figuring wit out, I'm not sure I do yet.
  2. While I'm not sure if there is any confirmation to what this refers to it seems to point towards someone replacing (not sure if this is spoiler? don't think it is because 6 months have passed) And from the use of the spear, it feels as if it won't be a traditional character. Those who might seem like the replacements seem more fit towards shardblades, so I am unsure about who this could be referring to. The only other idea that comes to mind is that the fallen title refers to that of a shard, and is instead pointing towards Honor? More of a random thought without reason behind it to be honest.
  3. This is something I feel like we might see in the future of Roshar, A perfect gemstone would be very uesful, especially travelling long distances through Shadesmar. an event I would not be surprised seeing again.

    Hello

Hey! Who is your favorite character (if you have one)?
  6. Last thing I can see for now at least from a brief glance is that there is a mention of Hemalurgy's impact of the cosmere as a whole, and while I think this could just be referring to compounding it could also be in reference to Chromium, Nicrosil, Aluminium, atium, lerasium and maybe duralumin. These all have effects on things that aren't just metalic arts, Destiny, investiture, (aluminum removing all powers, seems like it could be a way to temporarily remove someone's abilities? Wonder how this would interact with surges), connection/identity, Any *power* (atium), and All Abilites (Lerasium). Now that I think about the wording a bit more it seems like Atium would be a more specific version of power transfer through hemalurgy? Maybe taking one specific ability and Lerasium would take all of them. This could be why Sazed hid Lerasium from Kelsier and not Atium although that is likely just because Sazed doesn't want anyone getting there hands on full mistborn powers anymore, maybe he knows something more. Feel free to add any other ideas, will check them again tommorow morning!
  7. So comparing the arc Arcanum to previous mistborn books and it has the extra section on Spikes and Compounding that I don't *think* any previous books have? This section talks about how hemalurgists cannot compound in modern times because modern souls are different then those of before Harmony, Marsh seems to think this is something to do with an imperfect balance in harmony? I do think that we could still see some characters compounding through hemalurgy however, as some big ones are older then these modern souls, notably Kelsier.
  8. This seems like it has potential to be one of Kelsier's goals, although I see that to be unlikely as he doesn't seem to want Lerasium for anything more then granting himself and others allomatic powers in his chat with Sazed. Atium also seems to have a unique hemalurgic ability to steal any *power* and this wording is specifically different then that of lerasium so I presume there is some difference here. P.S.: Just checked Bands of Mourning and it doesn't seem like there is mention of Atium/Lerasium hemalurgy? I may be wrong on this however.
  9. Ok so we all know that Lerasium has the ability to grant allomantic abilities, however in the end reference chart of Lost Metal it is also shown to be able to steal *all* abilities. Maybe I missed this before, but this seems like a very powerful ability, and seems like it will effect more then just allomancy, as allomatic powers are specifically labeled as allomantic abilities in the chart. Will continue to add as I find things.
  10. Sounds interesting haven't heard of that before (forum mafia) but sounds fun so I'd be willing to try it out
  11. Yeah Mafia is fun!
  12. Yes sorry about that I did it by accident, didn't think the posts were going through because I got an error, should be fixed?
  13. Favorite character is either Hoid or Kelsier
  14. My favorite book is WoR followed by RoW
  15. Heyo I'm Vell or Velvet. I've been reading the Cosmere for a while now, maybe not as long as some others but I would like to say pretty long, and I just discovered that this site existed. I love theories and I really want to become an established part of the community.
  16. Ah ok Thanks for telling me I didn't see this before. Sorry about those other posts I didn't thin kthe original post had gone through since I was getting an error. (Terrorvangian is a nickname for scary Taravangian I have seen people use)
  17. Thanks to whoever deleted the other posts I made, didn't expect making that many of the same post
  18. Ok so I know the theory that Hoid was the one who actually tricked Terrorvangian already exists, and its one I strongly believe in, but I don't think all the evidence is there. From my own recent re reading of Mistborn: Secret History, I found the line "Gods, it appeared, could still fall for a classic misdirection con" from Kelsier, after tricking or misdirecting Ruin. This got me going hard on the idea that Hoid had in fact tricked terrorvangian, as he had been talking about the basics of misdirection at the beginning of that very scene. I'm not one for long theory posts (yet), but please add on any other info, or if this has been spotted before. Thanks lads.
