    Siylna forced the door open and ran over to the bed, feeling desperately at his neck for a pulse. If he was murdered too…I’ll need to be careful.

    “I can speak no word that is untrue.” Rue turned away, struggling to contain the emotions warring within her. “You can’t prove a lie.”

    Rue’s expression didn’t change, though she felt anger bubbling within her. “My life would be much simpler if you couldn’t lie.”

    Rue forced herself not to attack her. Not here. Instead, she maintains her Aes Sedai serenity. “I’m…” Rue starts to say fine, but hee throat closes up. No word that’s untrue… “Why wouldn’t I be fine?” She snaps. Rue gives Nameless a dark look. (Dark for her, which of course means she looks normal, for her). “Already happened once.”

    Rue looked up at the buildings around her, and felt a tiny glimmer of…terror? Regret? She tried to shove it down, but it wouldn’t leave.
