    Tal handed her a key. “Room 384.2.” “You can’t read most people’s minds, Nameless,” Rue said quickly.

    “His name is Charlie—Charles, that is.” Eddie’s cheeks were literally on fire.

    “Oh, sorry!” Tal handed him a key. “Go left, up the purple spiral stairs (not the yellow ones, if you’re color blind they are labeled), and then down the red stairs.” “In the 2nd basement.”

    “Of course.” “It’s a good thing to hate,” Tal said. “I’d be more concerned if you enjoyed it.” They arrived at another large set of doors. “We’re here. You can have whatever you like, though our chouta is quite popular…” Rue didn’t react.
