    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

"Ew, don't be weird about it," March said, turning away from August and shoving Arke away by the stomach.
  2. After everyone was ready, the wagon's began moving again. The sun sank low in the sky as the went, but they saw no more bandits. Eventually, Calum spotted a nice clearing in a wooded spot just off the road. It was the best camping spot they'd come across all night, so they decided to stop there. Lady Genuhk quickly got a fire going, and Master Igenes started working on a lovely smelling soup. "Good work everyone," Lady Genuhk called once they had finished making the meal and set up camp. "Everyone did well today, and we're impressed on the efficiency of both teams." With that, she sat down and started munching on her stew. Master Igenes passed around the other bowls.
  3. "It's still a worthwhile suggestion," Aki said sternly, "And anyway, it doesn't matter what Kaleb says, you've no reason to hit him over the head."
  4. "Oh! Are we finally going to go fight the BBEG?!" Penn asked excitedly. He'd waited a long time for this, and afterwards Sleeper had promised him they'd have a sleep over.

"You trying to be the silent strong type?" March taunted back at him. "I always found guys like that annoying--what's a fight without some nice insults?" August had found his feet again, and he swung his sword down on March's shoulder. March caught his blade in time before it came down, and he deflected it off to the right.
  6. "I'm happy to help with whatever you need," Aki replied. "Sleeper," Aki scolds. "Eating is a very important part of keeping you're body healthy and ready for a fight, there's no reason to hit Kaleb."

March grins, sliding past Arke as he follow's through on the movement. He came to a stop several feet behind him. "So you have your limits after all!"

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

March recognizes the move from before, this time ducking out of the way. He brought his sword around as he went down, striking Arke's back.

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

August slashed March's side, but the armor there deflects most of the damage. March grabs August's wrist, and pulls him closer. Using the momentum, he rams his shoulder in August's chest, who falls to his knees from the impact. March re-adjusts his grip on his sword, and slashes at Arke again.

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

March was rather occupied, so he heard but didn't see what she was holding. He ignored her. "What the?!" March used the oppurtunity to get back up on his feet, stepping away from the insane shennai kid.

@BlueWildRye His legs buckle but he brings his sword back up quickly, swiping up at Arke's torso. "Alive is breathing!" He said, yanking himself away from her. "If I have to take a few limbs off the keep them from running that's still alive!" August had run up while he'd been fighting Arke. He slashed his sword at March's head but he ducked out of the way just in time.

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

It bounces off his pauldron, but the blow was hard enough to make him stumble. "No! You know what? I'm tired of this. I'm tired of you telling me what to do and hovering over me all the time when you're still just a child!" @The Bookwyrm March grabs his arm before it connects and twists it cruelly. He pulled his sword out of Arke's shoulder and attempted to slash it into his side.

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

March rolled his eyes. "It's better to just end this here and now instead of drawing it out." March grits his teeth. "You're quick little rat, aren't you?" He slams his blade down on Arke's shoulder. July grimaces and fires another bolt at him, but it misses and bounces off his armor. "Please run July," August said suddenly. "Please, I don't care if it feels wrong, this isn't going to end well either way." "I can't run my whole life!" "No, but you can run today so you can you fight tomorrow, idiot," August replied affectionately. July stares at him. If anyone would know what to do, it'd be August. He'd fought countless battles, won an even more surprising amount. But July couldn't just leave everyone. Seeing July's hesitation, August grumbled something about 'kid's these days' and then drew his sword. If they weren't going to run, then Arke would need help with March. "That's kind of the point!" March gasped angrily through his pain. They were just little cuts, but standing hurt more then he'd like to admit. "And I don't take orders from peasants."

It's Halloween week which is fun I guess, I'm excited because Halloween falls on the off day that I have classes with my friends hehehehe. I'm not dressing up as a Brando Sando character this year so I might not upload my costume the way I have the past few years, we'll see. I'm dressing up as Fern from Frieren because I have the same haircut as her, though my hair is a bit shorter (just Google it, you'll see).

I'm going to hopefully spray my hair purple for that, which is gonna be fun.

Me: The inherent grief of survival. Having to keep moving even though everything is falling apart around you. Loosing everything and having to start over again and again. Perseverance not as simply a virtue but a lifestyle. The world re-invents itself around you as you watch. Do you change as well or do you stay the same? How heavy is the past? How heavy is the past of the past? You movement is only in one direction and it's so fast. Time passes without your notice. You can't keep up. Run faster or lay down and accept the end. Is immortality within mortal flesh a blessing or a curse? Is something wrong with you because of the disconnect, or is something wrong with the world? You're legacy is everything and nothing at all. Death is a stranger, and your oldest friend. Choosing again and again to be human, instead of an ancient monument of the past. Do you reject the past that has abandoned you and become something new, or do you follow the path already tread? The people around you are children. You are the embodiment of inheritance and ancestry. A living museum. Choosing to spend you're time well even though you have endless amounts of it. You can never go home, not because of distance or circumstance, but because home no longer exists. The moon and the sun are foreign to you, the lay of the land is a recent catastrophe, it's been that way for thousands of years. Your father and your father's father created the first crafts and languages. What have you done? You feel so old, but the young don't notice. They can't tell. Wounds of the body don't mean much, but what about the mind? How do you heal the unseen? The unheard? No one remembers the terrors that haunt you. Your old foes and friends are children's bedtime stories. You are an origin point for everything with no end. Every life is a tragedy in one way or another, yours is life after life stitched together. Your memoriam is a history book, your legacy is the language that everyone stopped speaking hundreds of years ago. Your voice sounds like the voice of people who did terrible things with their eternity. Your face reminds everyone of the people who were virtuous for their eternity. You are both. You are neither. How do you explain to them the true length of conflict? The depth of tragedy? How do you tell them that their actions will affect things lifetimes after they die, and you will be forced to watch it all burn? The man who raised you is loosing his mind because eternity became too much and you worry that someday it will become to0 much for you too. You can't loose them. They want more then anything to loose themselves. A pillar that has weathered this many storms must stand for something. A tree's roots rip up the ground around it. Goodbyes become easy out of sheer practice. It's numbing. Don't let it take away you're humanity. Don't let time win. You're still you. After all this you're still you. Even if it looks different. Even if it feels different. You're still you.

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

July gripped his modified crossbow tightly, and shook his head. "I can't" he mouthed in her direction. March cursed loudly, and shoved Arke with most of his strength. "YOU LITTLE BAST--" July took a deep breath and suddenly pulled the trigger on his bow. The bolt shot between armor pieces on March's thigh. March cursed again, it was a talent of his, and turned back to April. "See what I mean? There were never going to sit and talk this out." He dashed forward, swinging his sword at July.

"What's a little Shennai kid like you doing here?" March grinned down at him. "Are you lost? Did all that gunpowder blow you across the ocean?" "March," August said evenly. "He's not consequential, you're here for me aren't you?" "For July, actually, but you being here is a lovely bonus." July stiffened. He'd finished sorting through his bag, and was now holding a contraption that looked like a crossbow, but was a bit smaller and sleeker. "You should run," August whispered to him. "I . . . I can't. I hid last time and things only got worse, I should've helped." August sighed. This was not going to be easy to slip away from.

July who was frantically going through his bag, looking for something, didn't see. August gave her a halfhearted smile. His hand was clenched over the hilt of his own sword so hard his knuckles were white.

The flip works, but because of how heavy March is, it doesn't go all the way through, and he just falls to his back on the ground. "Damn you . . . little brat." He quickly regained his feet, but didn't engage Arke, he couldn't get distracted and let August and July get away. "And I found July, but he's going to refuse to come with us so we have to fight," He growled, "It's a natural conclusion, keep up."

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

"Oh, but I want too," He explained. It hurts his elbow more then anything else, as March's plate armor deflects the blow. Laughing March grabs Arke's wrist. "Who is this, August? Another little kid you couldn't say no too?" August frowned, still unsure what to do. By this point the crowd had noticed a fight, and people were giving them a wide berth. A few stopped to watch.
