  1. Penn examined his teapot. Had it changed at all?
  2. "Okay, okay, "Uh, "She just showed up one day, on the moon I was living on, just out of nowhere. "She figured out I was magic really quickly, probably the same way you did. I had never met anyone else with 'the Force' before so I was curious. I wanted to know things about myself and how it all worked, y'know? I guess that blinded me. So, when she asked me if I wanted to be her apprentice, of course I said yes. "It only took me a couple months to figure that she wasn't . . . a good person. Some the things she was teaching, and some of things she did where evil. "Once I realized the truth I told her I was done. I didn't want any part in what she was doing. Of course, it wasn't that easy. "I couldn't just walk away with all her secrets. She said I couldn't exist if I wasn't working with her so she . . . tried to . . . y'know." Cloud closed his eyes. "And well I- I'm still here so . . . yeah she . . . she didn't win."
  3. Penn nodded excitedly, "My mom gave it to me for my birthday, isn't it lovely?"
  4. Cloud sat down, he felt so tired suddenly. "I though my story had ended, but . . . I guess not," "I've never really told anyone about this, I don't really know where to start."
  5. Pen reached into his coat and pulled out his teapot. "This'll work, right?"
  6. "I have orange juice as well!"
  7. "I . . . maybe," Cloud sighed. "It's a long story . . ."
  8. "Or, maybe I should forget about it and move on with my life, I won't gain anything dwelling on it." ". . . and I'm not a Jedi."
  9. "How interesting, perhaps we can have tea with her . . "

    These are all really cool!!
  11. I can understand why you would find this section frustrating and I did find it a little slow, but I actually kind of liked the atmosphere it built. The city is waiting for an attack, everyone's on edge, but nothing happens for an extended amount of time. I like how it builds the tension, really. It gives the city this tone of anticipation, and as nothing continues to happen, the readers uneasiness grows. You feel uneasy because nothings happening. And this uneasy feeling makes the antagonists feel more real. I also think it makes a nice contrast with all the action in the final part of the book. It gives the characters room to breathe and take in the situation, but at the same time helps build tension and uncertainty in the world. The people of Kholinar have never had to deal with this before, and we get a really good sense of their confusion. I liked it, I guess
  12. "I don't think you knowing about it would help us with this battle, I didn't even know her for that long," Cloud said, obviously trying to get out of the question.
  13. "Wait . . . I'm confused, Is this One person the evil lady or a good guy?" Penn asked.
