  1. Lerac listened patiently as she talked. Very little showed on his face, but she felt the warmth of his general aura grow stronger. Bright green plants and colorful flowers sprouted from the floor at his feet. "I'm... sorry. None of that was your fault, you know." --- TAAron looked at it. "I'm not really hungry." @The Halcyon Girl
  2. "Yes. I spoke to him in the midst of it. He tried very hard to kill me."
  3. "Well, I'm recently immortal. I have time."
  4. He paused for a long while. "You can talk to me, if you want. I'm not exactly an ideal friend, but I can listen."
  5. "What good reason could there be? It wasn't fair to you to get abandoned like that." --- Lerac caught up to Aventine. "Hey. Are you alright?" @Spark of Hope
  6. Lerac frowned slightly. He nodded at Turing. "Best of luck." Then he followed Aventine out.
  7. "I can find another way to get better, right?" Lerac shrugged. "I don't see why not. But it's nothing I know how to deal with. It's not even under my master's influence." This, again, seemed to concern him.
  8. "It's okay. You could not have known." He sounded painfully sad and confused. "I'm sorry too," Lerac said honestly.
  9. "No. There's nothing for my magic to interact with. I'm not sure why that is, since he doesn't seem all that different from some types of magical spirits I've met."
  10. "I don't know," he said despondently.
  11. "Someone destroyed most of me. I think. It feels like a very long time ago."
  12. "Maybe not. Or maybe he's just something different." "But I must have made myself forget somehow. I remember being in the fight with Kaos, going unconscious, and when I woke up... It was gone. You were gone."
  13. "No. He has never been living. I can feel all sorts of different types of living beings, magical or not, but Turing isn't one of them." Lerac seemed somewhat bothered by this. Turing spoke up. "What does that mean? I'm not...? I certainly feel alive."
  14. "No. I don't think he's... truly alive, exactly. I can't feel a living presence from him." "You don't really believe that."
  15. He met her eyes. "I would have tried to find you, I promise I would have. I just didn't remember... How could I do that?"
  16. Murr caught up, not as fast as Maj but moving with unusual gracefulness through the jungle.
  17. He took a deep breath, and the light began to fade away. She could see his face again, teary-eyed and haunted.
  18. Turing raised an arm, still communicating tension somehow despite his lack of readable expression. Lerac just shook his head. "I can't heal him." Golden light still enveloped TAAron, and he shook with his sobs, barely seeming to hear her.
  19. He frowned. "You're not the one who specifically wanted to find me, though..."
  20. He looked back at her steadily. "Yeah. My connection to him lets me heal myself very well, so I can withstand the increased consequences of my healing. It just seems like that effect has weakened a bit. I'm already healed, I just got a bit overwhelmed. I'm sorry for scaring you." @Spark of Hope
  21. "No, it's okay. I'm fine, really. It just means I'm probably going to get called back to work soon." His voice, though never particularly emotive, was genuine and kind.
  22. "I'm fine. Just a result of being disconnected from Death for a while, I'd guess. Looks I'm getting a little more than just the pain of my healing now."
  23. Lerac was unresponsive for a long moment before taking Aventine's hand to pull himself up. "...Yes. Of course." A trickle of blood ran from the corner of his mouth, and he wiped it away before looking down at his hand with morbid surprise. "That's new."
